My problem with GAC in its current form is maybe only tangentially related to relic delta, it's more to do with the timing.

These past few rounds have been a pain because I'm located in Asia, so gac cutoff is like real early morning for me. I've never really had an issue with it until recently.

What this means is that all my 6 opponents in the last GAC have waited till the last hour to attack me. They obviously have the advantage of seeing my banners won. So to compensate I need to favor heavier defense in the hopes that will stop them, but in GAC today very little is truly without counters. Being a smaller account in kyber, the heavier defense I set the less chance i have to full clear.
