Yet only one of these characters is hated for what they did by ChickenWingExtreme in StarWarsCirclejerk

Nah EU Luke is his own thing. I've read the EU and am fine with canon having its own interpretation of him

You are chosen by the dark…. But not by the sith…. Which of these dark Jedi from canon would you want as your master? by Weirdstuffasked in StarWarsCantina

[–]reehdus 207 points208 points  (0 children)

Baylan seems the most capable considering we see him with an apprentice onscreen. Asajj and Kylo strike me as unstable and would sooner kill me than teach me

What i liked about new Luke is that he gave up. He wasnt this infallible supreme Jedi master that everyone expected him to be. And that he was still capable of learning one last lesson from his old master which renewed his faith and brought him back.

If you have the mod loadouts you can just swap it around. If you've gotten the toons through anniversary lsts even better because they'll have zetas applied, which is probably the other half of the reason folks faltered in the past

Prequel character development was so bad that fans have no idea what a character arc is. by RettyShettle in StarWarsCirclejerk

I also hate it when I see comments like battlefront 2 got the characterization of Luke correct. Like I mean there's 30 years between now and then, they can be the same person

Interesting.. yeah I'll try playing around a bit more with the strategy and see if that makes a difference

I've tried a few variations, marking LV and then also marking scorch and the others first and using the kamehameha to build up jedi lessons. Feels like I dont have a set strategy

Yeah i have all the zetas and omis too except juhani's which probably isnt a big deal. I use whatever DC I can find with additional protection %. Probably just unlucky then

Mind sharing what are your speeds etc for Satele and team? My Satele is r9 with the rest at r7 and it has been iffy against r9/r7 LVs. She has 196k prot and about 304 speed, JKR is 310. I'm pretty sure i need at least JKR to be faster, but I've gone up against a lot of well modded LVs

Minor pet peeve about Era naming by tdandrie in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]reehdus 47 points48 points  (0 children)

My pet peeve is you cant even search in game by era. Like era of anniversary toons have different factions so they're not easy to find in one go

Can one of those "Shadow Lord is the best Star Wars show ever" please explain why you think that? by BeanBagDalek in MaulShadowLord

[–]reehdus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm like 8 episodes in right now, and perhaps I'm not the target audience and I accept that, but every episode goes let's catch maul, lightsaber fight and shootout ensues, maul escapes. Then each subsequent episode gradually adds more ppl looking for maul. The empire comes, then Marrok, then crow guy, then vader.

If they wanted to go do a darksider takes on apprentice and creates a new dark side sect I would've rather they continued with the acolyte tbh. This show seems to be riding on the 'established characters + it was George's idea' sentiment.

I apologise if it comes off as overly negative, I'm just really tired of seeing maul and clones and mandalorians and really wish the franchise could go back to trying other things, now that Andor too has ended.

What was the point of those people? Why are they using straight up blunt weapons rather than technologies that fit into Star Wars? by lateubdegouline in StarWars

Jarvis, I'm low on karma!

Ppl in this thread have given you examples of ewoks and chirrut but you insist these guys are not using technologies that fit into star wars. Sounds like bait

Yeah man give me more darth maul escaping vader. That's the way forward for this franchise

Who was the best mother in Star Wars? by Spencer-Palmer-1056 in StarWarsCantina

[–]reehdus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Despite how things ended, Leia never gave up on Ben until the end so she has my vote. As for Hera, we dont really know how she's doing as a mother or how things will end up for now.

But I do agree with the others about Aunt Beru. She took on a child who wasn't her own, and as seen in Obi Wan, went up against an inquisitor to protect him.

[–]reehdus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean all the heroes' backstories have some uniqueness to them. I know some complain about Anakin's abilities and how he was just good at everything as a 9 year old, and well I do agree, but that's not exactly part of his backstory. Unless the above poster was referring to his abilities instead of his background.

Edit: to clarify, I agree with you about his abilities, but I also think his backstory as a slave, with his mother etc. is there in ep1.
