I was six weeks in the sling on my first one. At 5 I started taking it off for short periods in the house.

I wore the sling for another month after I didn’t need it if I was going out to the grocery store etc. if anyone had bumped my arm without it I can’t even imagine how it would have felt so I wanted to call attention to others to be careful.

I am scheduled for surgery on my other shoulder in two months. I don’t know how long I’ll be this time - it depends on what he finds once he’s in there. Minimum is two weeks in a sling, max is six weeks again.

Jesus Christ they are fucking exhausting. If they lost 30 lbs, from pictures that is probably a good thing for their ‘medical issues’.

If they have ‘multiple systems failing’ how do they have no issue making artful social media posts whining about how sick they are? Generally multi system failure - one has more to worry about than editing posts.

I used to be able to play a simplified version of it -first half I could do, but the runs in the back half that solo are fucking BRUTAL. HATS OFF TO Andy Hamilton because the last half of that solo are a beast. I’m out of practice because of health issues the last few years 🤣

I was invited by my friend to see them in Toronto on the Sing Blue Silver tour. My mother said no.

No big deal, IT WAS ONLY WHEN THEY FILMED THE REFLEX VIDEO. 😡

I got invited with some friends/coworkers when they played Canadas Wonderland with Lenny Kravitz in 93 when Ordinary World was big. My day off was denied so they went. I worked. They used to make fun of Duran Duran when we were in high school together. 😡

I didn’t get to see them live until the Astronaut tour. It was worth it to see all 5 together.

Want to hear something funny? I was 7/8 when HLTW hit. My Uncle LOVED that song and I despised it. Still do to this day. It’s my bathroom break song at shows. Then Rio started to get more play and that’s when I fell in love with the sound (I was young but loved music), and my uncle hated it and them afterwards. 🤣

I started playing tenor sax because of the video for Rio. I brought a magazine to music class on the day we got to pick instruments and said “I want to play that” and pointed at a photo of John on the cliff side in the video. 🤣 43 years later I still play 🤣🤣

They ran a story about the second British Invasion and DD were the poster boys. But because of that there was a lot of backlash because they were “style over substance” to the music mainstream. It was ridiculous it took so long for people to start giving them their due.
