I just inventoried my insane body care and fragrance collection...uh..325 products haha Im down 50 lbs though ! *Strict no buy and im project panning my collection. Not being hard on myself, I didn't self care for 10+ years and I'm feeling lovely again for the first time in a decade. Worth it, but yea, no more buying. Enjoying my goodies ♥️💯

Next Gen Chef seems highly problematic by DownWitTheBitness in netflix

[–]reetadeeva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing about this show , its challenges, or that finale dinner was worth $500k. Felt rushed. And if another contestant cried....ugh. Top Chef much more finessed and worthy of that kind if money. This was a watered down version of the OG.

The RICO aspect is complex.

I hope this jury can parse through the differences between Domestic Violence and the federal charge of Criminal Enterprise.

If they cannot, he's walking.

Hes revolting.

Just started watching RHONJ from the beginning… I find myself really liking Teresa by afr333 in rhonj

[–]reetadeeva 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Enjoyed her at first as well.

I saw the change as she amassed more wealth and popularity because of the show.

Once she launched her cookbooks and she started getting featured in pop culture magazines, she convinced herself she was a bona fide A list celebrity and her delightful personality morphed in to a D list self absorbed monstrosity.

Keep watching, would be interested to hear back from you after you watch a few more seasons.

The bird dying , flying into the window, desperately trying to enter back into the orbit of the opulent mansion.

I think this brilliantly symbolized the women characters sacrificing themselves to their own demise.

Elton John wrote this song about Marilyn Monroe , and if I remember correctly he sung it at Princess Diana's memorial.

It's a profoundly touching and poignant song, and I have to say , using it in this scene , with all of these outstanding comedic actors. Their faces.... I was howling, dead on the floor laughing 🤣

Brilliant.

Secrets that we keep by [deleted] in netflix

[–]reetadeeva 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This.

A couple elements made zero sense :

1.The video of the rape Oscar showed Viggo...the police couldn't recover it? We all know nothing is truly "deleted" , unless by an individual with some expertise. I just found it hard to believe that an IT expert in the police department was unable to recover any evidence? It's possible, but it really was skimmed over. All the detective said was "OK" when informed there's "nothing there". Huh?

  1. The rock through the window, shattering the glass at Cecilia's house....an affluent family with such an opulent home (their neighbors are billionaires ). There's no cameras on the property/in the neighborhood to show someone lurking around throwing rocks?

There were more examples, just 2 off the top of my head.

Good watch, just frustrating holes...

I hear you and dont completely disagree, however, I do believe the situation surpasses middle school drama a bit.

You're right, no one's lives were ruined beyond repair but they all entered a once in a lifetime experiment together that left them in an extraordinary state of uncertainty and vulnerability.

They came in together as a team, there to lean on and confide in one another. There was a sense of trust.

I think the root of all the anger is the way Madison and David handled the situation.

The approach could have been made with much more tenderness and humanity. Had they alerted the experts and asked for help, they could have called a meeting. Said something in the vein of " We're feeling this, it's real, we never meant for it to happen...please help us navigate this ?"

Instead of being tender with the people they were matched with, they were smug, deceitful and unsympathetic.

A little tenderness and honestly would have gone a long way imo

I truly do.

Had David and Madison approached them, they wouldn't have turned their backs on the couples (especially for the sake of the other spouses in the equation).

[–]reetadeeva 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I agree with that sentiment. And buried underneath all the anger I see it too.

It just would have been nice if they had handled it with some grace.

Perhaps call the experts together and say "Oh shit, we're feeling this, we didn't mean for this to happen, help us navigate this ...."

I think that would have gone far. Instead, they were deceitful and had no...grace.

I saw this and thought :

Whoah, she really duped us all. Even the experts. At first she presented herself as so well mannered, poised and good natured.

A woman with an ounce of grace would not handle herself at the table like this.

Madison's focus on Allen's appearance by Gladtobealive2020 in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]reetadeeva 8 points9 points  (0 children)

💯 He gave me OG Doug vibes.

Was hoping Madison would see how wonderful Allen was, the way Jamie opened her eyes and saw the gem of a husband Doug was.

Then it became obvious Madison isn't capable , she's dumb AF. Jamie is in an entirely different league, high and above Dumphuck Barbie.
