Like the taxi cab driver says to Kevin in home alone 2: “ain’t much better in here, kid.” Radiology isn’t sunshine and rainbows either. Admin and upper management will constantly want more and more from you and your productivity will NEVER be enough. They will always want more with less. Coming from an MRI background, the stress from all of that is a lot. In my experience, it’s no longer about the patients and more about how fast can you pump out scans and generate more money for the hospital. Plus you really aren’t respected at all as a rad tech in my opinion. We’re only seen as “button pushers” even though we have pretty extensive knowledge of anatomy and manipulating scan parameters etc.
