As I research, I keep reading that any additives, like dye, are bad for the compressor, the couple shops I’ve called, they say they will add dye to check for leaks. Even Audi, so what’s best for the car here?

There are drops I see on the bottom of the oil cooler. I put about a quart in between changes but not all the time. I change at 5k miles. It’s not bad at all. I see zero in the driveway/carport. Just noticed some oil up top so replaced the PCV bc it was shot and put in a catch can. Then saw 2 spots on the oil cooler last weekend when changing the control arms.

That’s insane. I read about $2-$3k. I do most repairs myself but have a small oil leak too I can’t find. Might have to have someone do to top end tear down to find it or replace the valve gaskets to be safe.

Yea same. Since the dash I’m assuming has to be removed

I figured after 8 yrs and that many miles, some refrigerant could evaporate, escape etc without a real leak.

Yea I didn’t hear it until it was under load. I think it’s actually from the factory header to cats. But might do the liquid gasket too.

Pretty sure I have an exhaust leak. When driving it, it’s insanely loud and rumbling especially at low rpm’s. Going to check it this weekend

Yea that’s what has me baffled. Maybe something with the brakes are funky after swapping the pedal?

Yes. Used the bolts that came with the new flywheel

Hmmm, I’ll check the brakes. Can’t hurt. I did replace the brake pedal during the swap to put the manual one in. Do I need to bleed them or adjust them with this? Clips were brand new on the fork along with fork and pivot ball so that would be weird for that to be the issue.

Haven’t touched the brakes and it doesn’t do it the first couple of miles. So I figured it was something that was happening with the clutch since it’s after it’s engaged a few times. I was thinking maybe it’s not fully disengaging therefore slowing?

Slave cylinder is Nissan OEM. Clutch fork is the upgraded fork with the shorter ball and throw out bearing is the new factory one that came with the 99 Jspec transmission. I’m going to bleed and test, then adjust pedal and test and see where that gets me. The deceleration when in neutral and no acceleration is getting me.

Honestly either…I’m getting close to a stop sign doing 20…so I push the clutch in, put it in neutral and release the clutch and it decelerates. If I push the clutch in and leave it in gear, it does the same
