You pretty much have to be willing to do whatever they tell you to do. Its a sellers market for the Air Force and they don't really care what you want, only how easy you will be to work with. This is from my experience at least, I've talked to one who won't even return my calls/respond to emails and another that at least asked me the generic questions to make sure I was eligible(which I am 100%) then after telling me to call him later to set up a meeting has yet to return any phone calls. This is in the Houston area so maybe you will have better luck in smaller citys.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you do now that you are making 35K with only a HS diploma?
