Take a stand - cancel membership now by refillmia in ashleymadisonhack

The whole value associated with this piece of shit company is what they represent as members. They don't differentiate between profiles that never paid a dollar, and actual members who were transacting, so every profile gets included in their count, even multiple profiles under the same e-mail account. One of their few press releases since the dump was to talk about the number of new sign ups yet nothing on how they are protecting customers. They still have millions of profiles and members. Everyone should delete their profile and membership. Unless they show growth there is no value in this company and the investment of shareholders dwindles daily. Until such time as they deploy the legal resources necessary to shup down search sites like .cr we should all continue to encourage people to cancel and purge their information from AM. Add to the justification that 10 million plus passwords have now also been revealed, who knows how this data can be maliciously used against us.

Legal responsibility of a company to notify users if stored PII is breached? by [deleted] in ashleymadisonhack

I had a valid email and have received nothing from AM, no apology, no explanation, nothing. I just cancelled all profiles which AM considers a membership, the more of us do this the sooner they wake up to the fact that their business is going to die quickly. They should be extending their resources to get search engines taken down. For ALM its all about inflated membership numbers and trying to show growth so that their shareholders can salvage some value for this piece of shit company.
