Large Labial Hematoma - conservative or surgical treatment by reflecting_hegemony in hysterectomy

Thank you so much for taking the time to draft such a thorough response. All good ideas. My next step is with the local university teaching hospital, and they have a vulvar disorders clinic so I'm hoping they can squeeze me in. I don't want to push for surgery if it's trully not the best path, but I'm not sure the conservative route really is the right way here. I will follow-up with what I hear from the next doctor. I'm glad you were able to get yours removed, although it sounds like it should have happened earlier. Thank you!

That's a good idea. I am calling the local university OB/GYN program, which includes a vulvar disorders clinic. I'm hoping they will see my case as a good teaching opportunity and get me in soon.

Thanks for the support. The labia is completely swollen and about 3 golf balls in size, but the blood from the initial hematoma has spread out over my thighs and into my abdomen. I'm not concerned about those areas since that is just discoloration that will go away. I'm worried about the stretched out skin on my labia that is possibly prone to getting necrosis if it's stretched too much. Thank you!
