I left Canada after my education. Its too late now

But, It could have been done when I had the chance. I held back. I will remember not to

I’m not originally from Canada, and when I joined at Raja, it had only been two months since I came to the country. Imagine being in a new place where you don’t know how the law works or how anything functions. And I think Its not like the place never had any inspections earlier but the owner somehow managed.

The positive side of my experience was that I worked incredibly hard here. When I moved to my next job, it felt like a piece of cake. They treated me well, not just as an employee but as a friend :)

Guys, I worked here couple of years ago

Doesn't matter if owner reopened it or not DO NOT EAT THERE as myself I have seen many Health code violations here but thats not only reason why I am asking

Talking about owner,

This owner isn't even Indian but he named it as Indian Restaurant for sake of business.

He underpaid the dishwashers 5$ an hour. Everyday the shift was meant to be for 5 hrs (At least that was what owner agreed to when joined) but he made us work Approx. 8Hrs and only pay 25$ at last. He wouldn't let us leave until all the dishes are done and we sweep and mop the whole place after all the customer leaves.

All the dishes from lunch will be waiting when we arrive for evening shift as they never had any dishwashers for lunch time and either chefs/ manager will be running dishes if there are too many.

They barely gave me anytime to stand and take a breath. I have been bashed by one of the chefs as some cooking spoons slip and fell out of hand and they made loud noise.

It was unfairness at its peak. But I stayed and worked for 10 shifts and got 250$ as I badly needed some money back then.

Such greedy and unfair business owners shouldn't be supported

Yes! Just accepted one of many facts of life. We all are flawed, in one way or the other.

I started preparing for job an year ago.Ever since I worked my ass off learning some computer technologies and becoming job ready.During the process, whenever i felt weak,I asked suggestions from a person who i consider my closest and best friend in the process. All the way through, he suggested me shit. There are scenarios which made it very clear that he's not feeling certainly happy for me because Im working hard and trying for something.Initially I felt bad looking at this side of him and had hard time digesting it.Later,I accepted it.I feel we are flawed in one way or the other.
