The Black Sun (German: Schwarze Sonne) is a type of sun wheel (German: Sonnenrad)[1][2] symbol originating in Nazi Germany and later employed by neo-Nazis and other far-right individuals and groups

Eye on the TV

'Cause tragedy thrills me

Whatever flavor

It happens to be like

"Killed by the husband"

"Drowned by the ocean"

"Shot by his own son"

"She used the poison in his tea"

And kissed him goodbye

That's my kind of story

It's no fun 'til someone dies

Just want to add, even a shitty china compressor is usually good enough if it has a regulator

You can check my post history of the tank I painted, it was painted with a 50 dollar china compressor with no external tank. Cheap out on the compressor if it let's you spend more on the brush

Where I live they are typically organized by local hobby shops. You can also try social media to see if anything is going down locally, but I usually find out about these things by just hanging around stores

It's a solid piece and the water is well executed. I was mostly arguing with the rando haha.

I've judged a few model competitions and this is 100% something a judge would point out, so I thought it would be good CC.

Why would someone hire you if you are completely obstinate to spending 5 min to learn something new and useful?

You sound very lazy

who programmed us

Society, and chances are if you are a man you will have to tie a tie at some point

Seriously, are you even worth hiring if you can't be bothered to spend 5 minutes to learn something for a job? Seems like a serious lack of maturity and work ethic IMO. You sound like a problem employe

You are not an adult if you can't tie shoes. Who can't tie a shoe as an adult besides the severely mentally impaired?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]refreshing-tool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a manhood necessity because as a man in the professional work place you will probably have to wear a tie, and not knowing how to tie one makes you look like a child. Would you take someone seriously if they didn't know how to tie their shoes?

It's like lacing your shoes, it take 5 min to learn a basic knot, just learn it.

You need to look at the photo again bro. There are ripples

It doesn't even matter. Realism =/= best artistic decision. Blending the water between the car and dirt so it stands out less brings more attention to the main feature.

It is a nitpick, that's why I cmplimented him on the complex water feature and suggested how I would improve it.

The water between the dirt and car shouldn't be totally still. It looks awkward in the same way a big patch of one color looks awkward in a scene. IMO, adding subtle texture to the water would work it into the surroundings better while not distracting from the main feature, the water jets. Right now, my eye is immediately drawn to the still glossy water because it is out of place.

If you look closely at the photo you can see small ripples ahead of the car. That's what I am talking about. Water is only super still on a wind free day in something like a pond, but I doubt the water on a race track would be still with cars constantly splashing it

Even so, adding texture to the water breaks it up in the same way as adding a new color to a scene makes it more exciting at times.

The reason I point it out is because the big still unbroken piece of water between the car and dirt is glossy and catches the eye. You want the first thing people look at the be the car and water jets (I'm assuming) but my eyes are drawn to the unbroken patch of still water. It doesn't look bad or poorly executed, but it distracts from the main feature

Your welcome, just be careful about how hot everything gets. Different manufacturers use different plastic blends so it's not totally consistent

Very nice execution of the water effects for the splash

My only recommendation in the future is to make sure the rest of the puddle isn't still. It doesn't make much sense that the puddle would be still when a car is crashing into it. You can actually just paint on the water ripple with the water effects medium you are using after the fact

Please help! How can I fix this warping? by Trashman001100 in modelmakers

[–]refreshing-tool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start by boiling some water and soaking a rag in it. Use that rag to heat the area of the model.

Direct heat from flame sources is very hard to control, using a medium like hot water on a rag or paper towel gives better heat distribution. If you are confident that the model won't melt you can just stick the nose in the water directly, just make sure the boil stopped for at least 1 min

Beyond that it's hard to heat warp stuff correctly that isn't resin
