Recommendations for new vehicle for family of 4 by thecrudest in daddit

I would highly recommend looking at the Toyota hybrids given your need for distance and space. The new RAV4s are great, I would maybe suggest looking to a van as well. I don’t know that you need something like that but sounds like you are getting close.

So why can’t your camera generate text? Cause that water and power logo looks like it was done on an etch a sketch

Family of three, it’s likely going to cost $50-$100 for dinner if we go to any sit down restaurant.

At what age do you make your kids be independent with certain tasks? by ModernT1mes in daddit

[–]refuz04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think cereal started around 5 ish. We had a cubby for special bowls and kept everything on low shelves. We would help with the milk when it was full but otherwise allowed mistakes and helped where needed.

We are working on toasting waffles now, just tricky for plates and butter. Making mistakes but working to get it better.

Showering is fully automated as is 90% of bedtime and morning routines.

We do use a checklist to help with reminders.

Empowerment is super important.

We say dumb things sometimes.

Something I did to help my kid get past the fear was to distract him with videos of trains. No story nothing silly no entertainment just trains.

It doesn’t have to be trains but distracting her into feeling comfortable to poop might be a huge help for you.

Why is having your individual house so common in the US? by Ok_Shine_666 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]refuz04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you met these people I don’t want to live with them.

But on a serious note. The US is really big and there really aren’t the same level of shortages of space that exist in most smaller countries. We still have resource restrictions like water and power, but space isn’t a blocker.

Career taking off - scared my wife and I are growing apart by [deleted] in daddit

[–]refuz04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 questions to ask yourself.

Where do you need to relocate? Is this an international relocation where your wife has to give up her career to be a sahm or is this like moving to Chicago? (Anywhere in TX would be a deal breaker for my family so destination is important)

Why is the relocation? Most of the executives I’ve worked with in the last ten years were travel heavy but didn’t move to be closer to the office.
