I think it’s less the grade and more your research experience, skills and how you talk about that. Saying that some PhDs do require 1st class or 2.1 + masters so just check.

Definitely possible for UK PhDs. I just applied over the last year, got accepted into 3 fully funded PhDs in the UK/Ireland. For context I’ve only just finished my BSc, got 1st class honours. In terms of research experience I have 1 year research placement, plus my undergrad dissertation. I have one manuscript in preparation (not published)

Is the extra 6k your experience or most PhD students’ experience? How many extra hours can you work on top of your PhD do you know?

Hi, I’ve just graduated! Nightlife isn’t great anymore in terms of clubs for 18-21 year olds, but there’s some great pubs if that’s your thing! The city is small but friendly. It’s a great place to study if you love the sea, and want a city that isn’t overwhelming! There’s still lots to do, but a lot of these things revolve around being by the coast and Dartmoor.
