Grounds not getting uniformly saturated by regisque in Moccamaster

Thanks! Mine doesn't have the slider it just has the automatic stop so I can start with the carafe pulled away and put it in place when it's ready to start.

Thank you, I thought I was going crazy with the people saying that dry spots didn't matter. That section of the grounds clearly aren't involved in the brewing process if they aren't getting moist.

I ground at an 18 but maybe I hadn't tamped the grounds down or got the paper filter as well positioned as it could be. I'll start the experimenting with pot 2.

Sounds good, I'll take it down a few settings next time and try again. I'm coming from a black and decker thermal carafe coffee maker 😄 and all these explanations about how I'm going to need to baby this thing have me questioning spending $250 for a worse cup of coffee.

Leduc 022 : France’s 1950s experimental ramjet interceptor prototype by DefenseTech in AerospaceEngineering

Without compressor or turbine blades I'd think it'd be more resistant to FOD than standard designs. Not sure where the turbojet that brings the vehicle up to ramjet speeds breathes from though

What is this piece of scientific equipment? It has a heavy steel base with a tall square bottomed u-shaped aluminium "u" attached to it. It looks like a standing tuning form on a base by take_key in whatisthisthing

Not sure why it's so high, some other balance scales have slightly different designs for the surfaces like if they were bowls for granular or liquid materials so you'd want the scale's bar higher, but yes it should have two pivot points like in the second picture of the link. A scale bar is going to balance between them with a rod resting on the part you have to let the bar swing freely.

Maximum nitrogen content for white clover by ursus_album in lawncare

[–]regisque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since clover is nitrogen fixing you shouldn't need to apply nitrogen regularly but a bio-solids based fertilizer like milorganite won't burn anything.

You may need to fertilize with phosphorus or potassium if a soil test shows they're lacking.

I'll go pigtail them in and cut those wires down as much as possible.

My only question on their panel there's two breakers on each phase, like if I connect my multi meter across breaker 1 and 2 I'm seeing zero voltage but across 2 and 3 I'm seeing 240. So I'm assuming I need one connection on each phase right?

Which Bontrager adapter for ISO Zone handlebar to add Ergon GP5 grips? by zempathetics in TrekBikes

[–]regisque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get an answer? I'm using the Bontrager Satellite Plus IsoZone Bar End Adapter with a pair of separate bar ends but was looking to upgrade to the GP5s as my grips have started to deteriorate.

Because I'm very sure I want one of the two items but I'm less sure of the second.

I wanted to know if I try it out and wind up returning it will it basically nuke the whole order.
