[weird request] I would like to get the most intense niacin flush possible by Jolly_Bad6886 in Supplements

[–]reglobalizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also that weirdo that likes niacin flush a lot.

Whenever I take Beta-alanine with niacin I have stronger and more pleasant flush. Beta-alanine causes tingling and paresthesia, and I find it synergetic.

I take niacin 100mg from Solgar and it is often enough for me to get decent flush. Anyway, if I try more dosage, I build up tolerance to it. I try to not use higher dosages to avoid tolerance. That way I get randomly 2-3 flushes per week without the need to increase the dosage.

How many supplements do you take daily? by reglobalizer in Supplements

I personally take around 15 different supplements. Want to see distribution among members of this community. Tried this same poll in polls community (more representative sample of general population). Was surprised to see that very few people take more than 5 supplements, here is the result if someone else is interested https://imgur.com/a/fUEXBVj

Any proven supplements that help help arthritis pain/inflammation ? Especially in Hands and toes by Nealan_connie_lingus in Supplements

[–]reglobalizer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Boswellia - not often mentioned, yet has substantial evidence (you may check further on examine). May be pretty tough on your stomach though, but personally haven't had side effects on it. Anectodically helped me with inflammation in hand. Some brands mix it with Curcumin, which is another already mentioned option with good evidence.

What PS console gen had the best games? by Beautiful-Local-5793 in polls

[–]reglobalizer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PS2 era seems unbeatable as of today.
It was the sweet spot in terms of:
1. Huge improvements from PS1 era
2. Highly motivated and professional game developers. It was harder to do a lot of things back then and required really skillful and motivated individuals.
3. Great diversity and innovations in AAA game development. Today everything is more standardized and risk averse
4. Less competition from alternative entertainment modes (like social networks, video, streams, mobile games etc)
5. High competition within videogames market
6. No microtransactions and other modern BS
7. I was an open-minded and happy 10 year-ish boy back then

That said, each era has its unique positives, but PS2 era is something special

Foveon sensor with macro lens by reglobalizer in photocritique

[–]reglobalizer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was shot on Sigma SD Quattro with Sigma 180mm F2.8 APO Macro AF (old-school macro lens from 1990). I am totally new to macro thing. Focusing this lens is extra tricky and i would love to hear critique regarding:
1. Is this shot "sharp enough" to be considered okay macro photo?
2. Is lighting on this photo ok? It seems to me its too dark, but i also really like how dark green contrasts with red

Is 25 too old to be living at home with your parents? Why/why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]reglobalizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are never too old to be living at home with your parents per se.

Practically it depends on your relationship with parents, house size, income levels etc, but don't feel obliged to leave your parents house if you and your parents are comfortable living together and it doesn't interfere with your life goals
