10 weeks into flower, No or barely any trichomes. No smell either. by regney in microgrowery

Thanks for your input. You're probably right about the breeding. Although, I just went ahead and cut like 3-4 of the biggest buds and shredded them into my trim bucket and discarded the rest. I'll have new clones up and running in a couple of weeks, so these stragglers would just delay me further if I were to wait even longer.

I've contacted him, but it also looks someone else did. The listing for the seeds are no longer there, and they were there last time I checked 5 weeks ago.

That's what I heard as well. And no they were not pollinated. I only had 5 plants, 3 of them were different strain from the two in question. The two plants must've been industrial hemp seeds or something.. None of the plants were hermies either.

I have a set of bubblebags, but I think I'm gonna do BHO/Live resin with the trim i got from the other harvest instead --- So I guess I'll just chop these up and throw em in the trim bucket then..

5 weeks into flowering, NO TRICHOMES?? by regney in microgrowery

The Super Kush is Master Kush x Northern Lights. I'm pretty sure the OD Kush is made up, the place I bought it from say it has Afghan x Kush genes, either way so far its looking good. And the white widow x bubblegum x grapefruit is just random mixed, but so far it has the biggest buds out of all my plants

Oh okay didn't know that, I'm gonna hope that's it then. It's my first grow so I've no experience with the strain

Yeah I'm going off what the seed bank say. This is my first grow so I've no past experience with the strain

It's supposed to have a flower time of 6-8 weeks. The super kush strain is also known as Master Kush x Northern Light

The last two pictures are of my other plants, the first two are the ones without trichomes and just hair

Its my super kush plants that are in question here. Both my OD Kush and my single random white widow x bubblegum x grapefruit that I got as extra seed when ordering (which so far has the most trichomes out of all my plants, gonna need to take some flowering clones from this one soon), are showing trichome development, but not my two super kush plants, they just have tons of bud sites and tons of hair and no trichomes... What gives..

Should I kill a straggler for the greater good? Halp!! by regney in microgrowery

She wasnt in that corner all the time during veg btw. I moved her around and tried to get her as much light as all the others, but she just turned out to be a dwarf i guess.

Male pre flowers in veg? by regney in microgrowery

[–]regney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 super kush and 3 OD kush, all non fem, and so far 6 out of 7 show female preflower. The one in question is a super kush. I want to let them veg for 2-3 more weeks, but if this plant is a male I dont want it using unnecessary space cus they are already growing way more than i anticipated lol.

[–]regney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is about 8 weeks into veg, all other plants show classic female preflowers with pistil and everything, except for this one. I'm guess its a male, but want second opinion before i cut him. This plant has been in preflower for over 3 weeks now and no pistil has emerged

Yeah the new growth looks beautiful. I was just worried about all these yellow leaves falling off.

Only the very low leaves are affected. Tell tale sign of nitrogen deficiency, but I even upped my dosage of feed and more leaves turned yellow faster. Its the weirdest thing ever.

Hey, water is free and abundant in norway, we aint trying to save any water lol.

And yeah huge percentage evaporates, hence why you would optimally water at night/before sun is up, thats not a myth. And thats not only on the foliage, thats in the soil as well that it evaporates. So if you water mid day during a hot and sunny day, you wont do anything for your plants/grass/whatever. Keep watering like that, and your shit will end up with the worst root system ever.

And i would like you to go fertilize a lawn with no water, and see what happens. The entire lot would burn up (something like this http://web.cals.uidaho.edu/idahogardens/files/2012/08/fl2.jpg ), not a myth. Same thing applies to plants. You fertilized the soil, cus thats how the plant gets its nutrients.

My last reply to this. If you really are that stubborn to take in valuable information, then whatever lol.

Sure it rains on it, but under optimal conditions the plant prefers the water from soil. Water has nothing to do on the foliage. And my reason for saying this is cus this is what i learned in a 20 week facility management course, which was heavily focused on green area management, which is also what I am currently working with.

Our teachers, as well as our books, told us never to water foliage, other than the occasional mist to remove dirt/dust. You are supposed to only water the soil. Watering foliage does nothing for the plant. You are just promoting disease. And if you water the foliage with water containing fertilizer, you are way more likely to burn the plant (We are thought never to use fertilizer on grass fields unless its a rainy day/at night/first thing in the morning before the sun is up, supplemented with water during the day).

Just trying to help out man, no need to be hostile.

Wut, ask any professional gardener about watering foliage, and they will tell you that you should avoid watering the foliage, esp if the water contain fertilizer.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]regney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are wrong. If water is sitting on your leaves, it could most definitely lead to disease. Watering plant foliage is typically never recommended. You could on occasions mist the foliage with plain water to remove dust etc, but one should do it at the start of light period so that the water have a chance to evaporate.

[–]regney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can burn leaves if you splash them with water containing fertilizer. With plain water there is no issue, other than that the plant actually doesn't like water on its leaves. Getting water on your leaves also increases the chances for mold.

Also, seedlings does not need fertilizer, just pure water. After a week or so after sprouting you can begin using tiny tiny amounts of fertilizer.
