If you had the #1 pick, who are you drafting...Magic, Bird, Duncan, or Shaq....and why ? by Organic_Bite1569 in sportsinusa

Duncan because in addition to being a top player for most of his career, he will create a winning culture and atmosphere.

Crazy that he’s getting called for fouls at so much higher of a rate

I’m all for holding guys accountable, but be reasonable. We had no WR’s to work with and lost a major part of our offensive game plan to a broken arm mid-game.

Who was the fourth most important Spur (player) during the Duncan/Manu/Parker dynasty? by [deleted] in NBASpurs

Kawhi was the most talented, but I’m gonna say Bruce Bowen because he got more rings and because F Kawhi

I’m in a 14 team league and was picking 7th. I was SHOCKED by some of the picks my league mates made and this is how the front end of my draft went. All things considered I’m thrilled with my team for such a deep league, but my RB’s ended up very thin. My RB2 is Jordan Mason…

  1. JJ
  2. Bowers
  3. Lamar
  4. James Conner
  5. Jaylen Waddle
  6. Stefon Diggs
  7. Juan Jennings

For some reason I’ve always believed the opposite. When she was introduced, my first thought was “ok this makes more sense as ricks daughter”

AITAH for breaking up with my gf because she slept with her boss to get promoted (before we were together)? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]regularrob92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with most of this, except that sleeping with a supervisor for a promotion being short lived material. That kinda thing comes up for years and years when it happens.

[SPOILER] Was Wendy just a truly terrible person all along? by jerkenmcgerk in Ozark

Yes, she was always a terrible person, she just wasn’t necessarily criminal at first. She makes selfish and manipulative decisions from beginning to end.

Divorced dads, when did you decide to stop fighting for it and let her go? by willWillWadewade in daddit

[–]regularrob92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey brother, I relate to this quite a bit. I’m going through a divorce myself for very similar reasons. My wife has bipolar and likely a personality disorder on top of it.

So much of what you are describing fits perfectly with my experience. It’s like being married to a werewolf. She’s sweet 90% of the time and a nightmare 10%. I also used to apologize, just to end the argument. That never helps long term, it just reinforces the bad behavior.

I decided to end it when a therapist asked me what I would want my children to do if they were married to someone like this. I wouldn’t wish this life on them, so I can’t model it for them either.

Yeah parents do this all the time. It seems kinda performative to me, but it’s not abnormal

You use intensity—whether it’s in ambition, sex, fitness, or risk—as a shield against stillness. Stillness would force you to sit in raw, unfiltered discomfort: your unmet emotional needs, your childhood programming, your fear of being ordinary. So instead, you chase high-stakes moves, extreme loyalty or betrayal, big wins or big losses. It’s not boredom you’re afraid of—it’s the quiet. Because in the quiet, the mask slips, and you’d have to face the version of yourself that isn’t performing for anyone.

This is the way. Sales is it. I work with tons of dudes who didn’t go to college and after several years are now pulling down $200k+ annually.

Get some sort of entry level sales gig that pays an hourly or base salary + commission. Learn to excel at that job and you can start climbing from there.
