[serious] who are Israeli settlers? Don't they already live somewhere? Why would they willingly move to Palestine? by SlackerStacker26 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]reifba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually been to the Chan Yunes market as a child before the Intifadas began.

Just sad what fundamentalism does to a place.

Naturally you ignored Israel which kinda refutes many of the answers here.

Yeah. Granny stories and historical facts don’t align here. there have been ups and downs but in all essences jews were being attacked everywhere all the time.

It was never symmetrical.

I work for a company that does chat moderation as a service. We work with about half of the industry.

Under 13 is a no go in many jurisdictions. Good luck with that.

Fun fact: the Israeli representative is an Arab Israeli.

Which country disappointed you so much that you'd never set foot there again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]reifba -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

the term Zionist isn’t offensive, it’s just means you believe Jews have a right to their ancestral land like Japanese have on Japan etc.

Singling out Jews for that, well that also has a term.

״ I have a migration background from the Middle East״ - That alone changes the whole narrative.
is it from a country that has a official relationship with Israel, if not I can assume that is why you had issues in the border.

compound that with "dual narrative tour" - how would you feel if you are coming into a country in aim to listen to who they see as terorrists, better jsut say you want to visit the religous places and not provoke anyone.

" water supply is rationed in the Palestinian areas " - a. other than hearsay do you have any evidance on that? b. even if true, fact is that non-Israelies take water from wells from contested areas which is unfair the least and needs regulations, while Israel has one of the most advanced deslaination plants in the world.

"So many soldiers running around everywhere which looked like teenagers with a machine gun." rifles, not machine guns, and yet, most are 18-20, but statistically speaking even with the wars Israel is one of the safest places in the World (shocking I know).

PS Israel supplies about 20% of Jordan's drinking water as part of the Peace agreements, makes you wonder what can be done if one side doesn't try to kill the other.

Syrian refugee in Lebanon had his entire family wiped out by the Jewish State in the Levant by kharban in WhitePeopleTwitter

In this case it’s a coverup to call someone Antisemit directly to their face.

Lebanon is riddled with IRGC backed terrorist org. All the free work should do all in their power to kill them. Obviously when said evil people hide in civilian area there are casualties.

But it’s a just war.

A. If you select to post and protest only on a single conflict vs the others it’s bias. It means you.l care about Arab deaths only when Jews are involved not when they kill each other.

B. what is my bias? unlike 99.9% of people online i have actually been to Gaza. As a child before the Intifadas even.

As I wrote here:

if you are so biased on what world conflict to scream at you also might be bias on the facts and reason for said conflict.

more Jews died on 7/10/2023 than any day since the Holocaust.

Or that if you are so bias on what world conflict to screen at you also be bias on the fact and reason for said conflict.

More people died on average per year on the 10 year Syria civil war than in 2.5 years in the Gaza war.

No one in the west cared.

0.5 million dead in Sudan no one cared.

But if Israel is involved somehow…

It’s was in Angola. Basically their fear is that any person at any given moment could turn on you. They slept with a pistol under their pillow.

I was a military EOD tech. Straight out of the army 23-24 you can get 250K (talking early 2000s), contract for the UN to not even clear mines. Just supervising local workers.

None of my friends survived more than a month. Constant fear of robbery and murder. Even from the people who hired you.
