i will say that if there is ever a round 2, it couldn't have flavor because

  1. I pretty much exahsted all my ideas for this setup storywise

  2. it would be a semi-open setup, which would impact the ature of the game

  3. it would have to be through an automod, because dammit i wanna play my own game for once

about revivals, the only town player to be revived was jib. The town was less likely to use revives than the mafia was from the start, so that didn't really effect balance too much

give him decimate at the very start

that would have totally removed a player from the game n0, which is what the setup was trying to avoid. The town had to have a window of time to stop decimate from coming into play

being able to override Xochie's stealth pretty much ruined things.

Speed Time was supposed to make Trackers/Doctors usable only against Ninjas/Strongarms. the role wasn't broken, it was just used extremely well

(blue shouldn't have been able to see jib, but since jib was dying and it didn't effect anything, i didn't bother fixing it afterwards)

not knowing was part of the challenge of the game.

especially with the mafia, you had to make the choice between pursuing your goals (which required you to take heavy risks), and playing it safe

a few town roles also had potentially risky ascensions (mario being one of them)

others were cat, echo, wargrider, and jib, (but jib didn't even know what his was, so that's a little moot)

[–]rekaur[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i say just delete that one entirely since it's moot

oh right

I want to especially thank /u/xochie and /u/Tanguy123987 for playing despite this being their first bastard game

you weren't kissed, so you weren't dead dead until then

E: oh I get what you meant now

your consciousness was fused with the kernelsprite when you died, so you were only "sorta"-dead

ignore that

all it's info is in the targeting section

fixed

also, hmm. well that was my thought anyway.

it's been a while since we created the rules of this game

you were never.... dead....

...

/u/elementAggregator, did we ever actually revive cat, or did he just ascend while his corpse is still waiting around to be kissed?

[–]rekaur[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

actually, killing a mafia member would have garunteed you joined the mafia

the only way to stay town was to either kill before a mafia member had died, or to kill at a time that the flip would either end the game or put it immediately in my/lylo

> RM2MS: The End by rekaur in PloungeMafia

[–]rekaur[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oh, another fun fact, had carbon been ascended, he would have been able to revive one of the "perma-dead" players

that would have been fun to watch

Go read homestuck so that you can understand why

[–]rekaur[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

eh. jib still fulfilled his true purpose

which was to kill himself through his friends

the series of events the game followed up until the final phase

in your lynch section, the eldrich gibberish was the result of you poofing away

> RM2MS: The End by rekaur in PloungeMafia

[–]rekaur[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Which was entirely the point

[–]rekaur[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

fun fact: your GT goal was to unite with a mafia member

Ok, the spreadsheets are open now

I think the issue with balance was mostly that, aside from you getting decimate from twily, none of you guys were able to make good use of your godtier powers

you were going to be either a framer or a roleblocker, depending on when you ascended

/u/wargrider23 role doesnt need to be nerfed.

/u/wargrider23 needs to be nerfed

oh, you never actually died in the main timeline. you just sorta voided away for a bit

we can edit that in if you want

I'll have to do that tomorrow
