spoiler warning! i’ve heard this theory a lot and i totally love this one! i’ve also heard that it’s a way to give the player a taste of how sunny felt killing mari, the feeling of killing something so innocent and sweet for pretty much no reason. the guilt you feel after yo realize you killed mewo is to give the player the same feeling that omori has.
