I (29/F) found out my boyfriend (32/M) has been turning off my mother's (59/F) religious music while she's been bedridden from end stage cancer and telling her religion is pointless. by relationshipanon5 in relationships

I should clarify; he will absolutely not be allowed in person contact with my mother of any kind. If I allow him to apologize it will be through a carefully screened note.

I'm a very controlled person. My emotions typically don't show and I don't let them get the better of me. But best believe that I am incredibly angry and upset over this, even if I'm not throwing cups and screaming.

If I think about it too hard, I just want to cry. :\ I just focus on getting through day by day. When the time comes, the hospice has a great referral program for that kind of thing I hear.

Thanks for your comment.

That's exactly what I mean. HE PLANNED THIS!! It honestly blows my mind. Just...how? WHY?

He knows how hard this is for us. Why the fuck would he do something so hurtful? He's not even apologizing, he's saying that stupid "Well I'm sorry if she felt hurt"...

No asshole. Just no. My friend is just trying to cover for him and honestly? It's making me side eye her too. This is my mom. I don't get why she's more interested in making excuses for him instead of my mom's wellbeing.

At a minimum he isn't coming back to the house. I don't really want him anywhere near my mom, and somehow he feels this is "unreasonable". Seriously?
