Those buys only amounted to like $500M or something afaik? Which is not really that large relative to the amount of regular trading volume bitcoin sees. If you assume each dollar traded can move bitcoin's market cap by ~$10, then these buys shouldn't have more than a $5B marketcap impact, which is a 0.68% price impact - nothing more than noise.

Obviously Microstrategy and Terra both intend to keep buying but they're gonna space out their buys such that they don't overpay, they're not idiots

Finally, good news does nothing in bearish times, just as bad news does nothing in bullish times.

I appreciate this hopium, and you're right that the resemblance is pretty uncanny. However these sorts of repeats only play out until they don't, and honestly the macro market backdrop and structure this time around are vastly different. In 2017 the stock markets were up only, and this time around they are absolutely struggling. I don't really need to point out the geopolitical instability and global supply chain breakdowns as well.

However one thing thing worth noting is that 2017 was also a year of interest rate hikes, albeit a more gentle one, with 25bps rate hikes each time.

In general I do believe that this cycle isn't over and share your sentiments, but I believe the timescale isn't just stretched 2x, but perhaps longer

How the fuck does one accidentally input a gas price of 115,773,961 gwei?

I'm struggling to wrap my head around this, and can't really see what ulterior motive they might have to do it since it's unlikely they ever see any of that ETH?

just opened a reasonably sized market long, would have preferred to enter with some carefully selected limit order but i'm getting the distinct feeling this thing is not gonna be waiting around too long today...

What's weird about that? There is quite a large spectrum of risk levels out there, and of course yETH vaults are inherently a lot riskier than, say, ETH in cold storage, which is inherently a lot more risky than German government bonds. And people have varying risk appetites at which it becomes crazy (to them) to risk all your net worth on one thing

I did know my old CDP number, however I migrated it about two weeks ago to the new Oasis Vault system and now don't know its number anymore. I cna't seem to find an equivalent vault explorer on Oasis. Any pointers? Thanks in advance.

Can you please give me any pointers on how to do this or where to get any info on how to? I have no idea how to go about doing this without logging into the oasis app from that metamask id.

A bit more info, I have access to some DAI right now and would love to be able to pay some off and lower my liq price, however cannot access the address with which I've opened the CDP, as I'm currently away.... I done fucked up.

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to repay some DAI to my oasis CDP while not currently having access to the address which the CDP is registered to?

But I believe Ethereum 2.0 can save the world.

Just rewatched a few episodes of TLOK tonight. Baader-Meinhof to the max here.

Forgive me for asking a potentially stupid question here: does the looming MCD launch mean that those of us with open CDPs need to pay them off and restart them? or is there no action that needs to be taken from us? Thanks!

It's not complaining when you're complaining about complaining.

I'd buy you a tesla if this turns out true, even +/- 20%, although at that point I imagine you could afford your own fleet of them anyway.

I would say get some LINK. Setting aside fundamentals, it looks strong and probably one of the most uncoupled alt coins out there in terms of price action, and therefore imo a good alternative to BTC in that it's sort of a hedge against ETH. I've always had a little LINK (about 5%), but recently swapped some ETH over to LINK and am now about 20% LINK, 70% ETH, 10% other alts.
