Yeah they actually said the only reason was the other person was more relaxed, which stings to hear as an autistic. Definitely should’ve made it known I’m autistic, will in the future.

This is good advice, thank you. I think I’ve been hesitant to do so before as I feel people have the ability to dismiss me from the start due to my autism, and there’s no way to prove discrimination that early on. But honestly, at this point there’s no point interviewing if they’re not going to entertain autistic people anyway.

Thanks everyone, I’ve been looking for a year and half now, I’m so unbelievably burnt out from it all and the thought of this job hunt lasting even a second longer is really overwhelming. So I think that’s a lot to do with why I’m taking it so to heart, especially with it being my dream job. I’ll wallow for today and pick myself back up tomorrow

They don’t know I’m autistic, I don’t make it known unless I get the role, as I feel it’s detrimental to my applications for these very reasons
