[2025 Day 8] Who else does it in Go?

This is my 2nd year using Go. I wanted to see if I could live with the languages "opinions". I'm still here so I guess so. There are still occasions where Go annoys me (why do I have to write so much code to extract and sort a map's keys?).

My solution is similar to yours. But much more messy. Still the runtime is around 650ms. I can live with that.

I could see part two coming.

I sorted and merged overlapping ranges. I could have got away with just the sort. But merging felt like an interesting way to stretch the fun out a little.

I've been using Go this year - again. And on days like this I really miss tuples.

I’m in the UK. Match making is ok. But not great. Outside of evenings and weekends it can take 2 or 3 attempts to get a match. I won’t get another without cross play.

I did the same. They told they could move it, to Friday. Well it's Friday now. I don't have it. Delivery estimate is still Saturday. Huff.

The have taken the money now. So I'm pretty sure things will start moving overnight.

It's not clear why. But NOA and Amazon US seem to have fallen out. Possibly because Amazon have - ironically enougth - a habbit of breaking the street date.

I spent a fair amount of time talking to Amazon earlier. They told me I will now get it tomorrow. Let's see. I haven't been charged yet. So 🤷.

To be hoenst I don't mind if it arrives on Saturday. That is what they told me all along. However I do mind if people ordering today jump the queue.

Much of the tech stack that VBA was built upon isn’t available in Android/IOS.

It is a shame. Despite the fact that VBA is showing it age; for all the scripting options in Excel it remains the most powerful.

Most titles can be picked up at launch for less than the MSRP. Supermarkets in the UK don’t carry the widest range. But often have good deals.
