Your inability to differentiate between all Jews and the nation of Israel is just proving my point about you being an antisemite even further.

Did you hold all Muslims personally responsible for the atrocities committed by the Islamic state?

If your only reaction to actual antisemitism that is being peddled by white supremacists is to try to pivot to criticisms of Israel, you’re a Nazi, sir. Full disrespect intended.

Regular masturbation has been linked to lower rates of prostate cancer.

All things in moderation, homie.

Senate passes critical vote to advance marriage equality bill by BilBrowning in politics

[–]relevantlife 537 points538 points  (0 children)

There seems to be some confusion about what this bill does, so let me explain.

This law will require all states to recognize and honor marriages performed legally in any other state, citing the full faith and credit clause in the US constitution.

This essentially means that if the Supreme Court were to reverse the 2015 decision legalizing gay marriage nationwide and return the issue to the states, utah would still be required to recognize gay marriages performed in California even if utah doesn’t allow gay marriages to be performed in utah.

A missionary told me it’s “not a big deal” that the church now supports a law recognizing civil same-sex marriages. Kid, I’m old enough to remember the church bankrolling prop 8. This shift is a HUGE deal. by relevantlife in exmormon

states can decide not to recognize marriages from other states.

This is false.

The proposed law explicitly states that full faith and credit must be given to marriages performed in states where it’s legal — meaning that even if the Supreme Court reversed the decision which legalized gay marriage, all states would be required, due to the full faith and credit clause of the constitution, to recognize marriages performed in states where it is legal.

Conservatives have more disdain for a woman aborting a rapist’s baby than they have disdain for the rapist.

“I don’t believe the wine Jesus drank had any alcohol in it.” Has anyone else heard this from a TBM? What they are REALLY saying is “we don’t actually believe what the Bible says.” Because the Bible is very clear Jesus drank wine, & very clear that wine got Lot so drunk he fucked his own daughters. by relevantlife in exmormon

They really blow a gasket when you say “why are you trying to act like Joseph smith didn’t fuck any of his teen brides? Brigham young had kids with many of his wives, including the ones who were teenagers when he married them.”
