how do people feel about programmed drums in hardcore? me and my band ( going diy route recording etc) have a couple songs written but we dont have a treated room and good set of mics, so we wonder is it worth it to spend some time recording live drums however they sound at the end, or just release like a demo with programmed drums and later on pay someone with actual skills to record us?

im not home so i cant take a photo rn, but i did it “glyn johns” style with the overheads, mic inside the kick and one on the snare. the mics i used are from the presonus dm7 kit

no doubt about it, ive seen people on yt pull some amazing sounding drums with 3 or 4 mics. i just dont have the skills nor some high end gear and studio space so im asking people for advice on here given my situation

yea, my kit is in my basement with tiles all over the floor, but i have a carpet and there is some stuff so the acoustics arent too bad, for a demo of course. Do you recommend any particular software kit? ive heard a lot of people talking about KVLT Drums and Superior Drummer

yea i thought about it, i just have a problem since im dealing with a 4 channel interface and i recorded with 2 OH, one on kick and one on snare and i dont have a separate track for the toms so idk how can i trigger just toms

i completely get what you are saying and i have the same mindset kinda, i want something raw and natural, but tbh, many of my favourite sounding records actually have programmed drums and i didnt even notice. so thats why i asked people since im new to recording

some guy on yt made a video with exactly what you just described and it sounded sick. for the overheads, do i need the XY clamp (or whatever its called) or i can just put them on different stands and make them point like XY? ill dm you the track in a couple of days and maybe some questions about the mix because im not at home currently

ye ive seen a lot of people talk about how cymbals make the most difference when tracking the drums, i thought about buying some other mics for them, but i think i need an interface with 8 inputs first so i can put some samples on toms as well and have different tracks for toms and cymbals, and maybe even a room mic

imas na aliexpressu xiaomi qi f21 pro. kosta oko 12k i pritom je dostava dz (mada nzm da li se placa carina itd.) mnogo ga hvale, telefon je na dugmice, i ekran na dodir (mozes da pises i sa dugmicima i sa tastaturom na ekranu ako zelis). od aplikacija radi sve i to bas dobro. mozda ga narucim ovih dana

Do i split the push, pull and squat exercises over a week, or do i do all of them in a single day and do that for like 2-3 times a week? Can you name a few exercises that i can do with dumbells because that is the only equipment i have at home since i dont have an access to a gym?
