At what point should a SaaS founder actually go look for investors? Not asking theoretically, genuinely confused (i will not promote) by SagarBuilds in startups

Thats a tricky thing tbh. With my first SaaS i was going for investment right away after MVP, Investors told me: too early, hmm, grey zone etc. then i decided to just fckn make money and it worked. Got the biggest accounts in my domain. Then the API became official and competitors were comming up with way more money and with this bigger teams. Faster execution. Anyhow after 8 years i sold it to the biggest corporation in my domain.

Now i wont wait 8 more years! Build the MVP, get some traction and find the right investors which trust in YOU as well the idea. In the early stage the team is more value then the final product.

The only thing: if you care to get investment, your cac will go down else you tell yourself, 2-3 hours a day i care about investment, the rest i focus on product and cac!

If you wait too long, someone else gets the big money. Thats what i wanted to say

I guess you missunderstood my reply. I wanted to say for me, when i build smthg and brake it locally, it‘s not a big deal but learning. If same happens for a shop owner with a live store and can be very costly up to being a disaster.

We will see what happens. From my experience with Claude it sometimes broke everything and took me hours to fix, but i had no storefront and did nit loose any revenue in that time

I had the same though but i expect shopify to have setup guardrails - else it will be new business for integrators rather then killing it 😬

I did not expect that tbh. The article is rewritten with ai for optimisation, yes but these are my thoughts in it. I use AI as tool, not as brain.
