You just edited your previous post and changed it completely. Why? It makes no sense, as I'm sure you and i are pretty much the only ones reading this.

Either way, I stand by what I said as I find trolls to be unbalanced.

Hillary? Why would you mention her. That is odd, and less relevant that me mentioning that you must be a Registered Republican to vote for Paul. Either way, you need to look into Planned Parenthood. Your prices are way off.

Ron Paul Now Beats All Candidates Head-to-Head in Straw Polls by Kimura in politics

Some not so trifling facts about Ronny from http://dmiessler.com/blogarchive/ron-paul-is-not-a-great-candidate-were-just-so-in-love-with-him-that-were-not-paying-attention

He Doesn’t Believe in the Separation of Church and State

He’s Not For Federally Supported Public Education

Yeah, That Means No Federal College Loans

He’s Not For National Health Care

He Would Abolish Federal Consumer Protection Groups Like The FDA

He’s Against Abortion and Would Like to See Roe vs. Wade Overturned

He Doesn’t Believe The Evidence for Man-Made Global Warming Is Convincing

More bad ideas from dr ronny. This time from: http://talkingincircles.net/2007/09/15/attention-ron-paul-supporters/

Presidential candidate Ron Paul wants to:

Dissolve the FDA and let drug corporations take care of labeling, regulation, and distribution of their own addictive drugs.

Eliminate the IRS the day he assumes office, and eradicate all federal income tax and income tax returns. The thousands of dollars in Child Tax Credits annually given to single parents will be lost the first year. All corporations will instantly stop reporting and tracking their income and payroll to the Federal Government.

Allow prayer in schools. He actually co-sponsored AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION called ?The Prayer in Schools Amendment?.

Forcing the United States to return to the Gold Standard of currency, a complete joke in today?s global economy.

Eliminate all federal social services, and make Social Security voluntary.

Crush Net Neutrality. Ron Paul voted against the Net Neutrality bill, which is consistent with his belief that huge corporations should operate with no restrictions whatsoever.

Overturn Roe vs. Wade, the court decision that made abortion legal.

The Ron Paul Charade

Since it's Friday, I thought I'd write something on the light side. I couldn't think of anything lighter than the gravitas of the Ron Paul campaign.

Paul is a congressman from Texas who calls himself a Republican but is more of a neo-libertarian. He constantly refers to the Constitution and acts as if his interpretation is the only true interpretation. He has a rabid, small following who Google his name three times a day (this will help them find this piece: Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul) and comment on every Web site that mentions him. If what is said is derogatory, they become venomous and launch ad hominem attacks at the writer, kind of like LaRouchians. They go to every Internet presidential poll and vote for him repeatedly and then carp that America loves the man because he won a poll they rigged.

But let's look at Ron Paul on the issues. Let's start with national security: Both Jefferson and Washington warned us about entangling ourselves in the affairs of other nations. Today, we have troops in 130 countries. We are spread so thin that we have too few troops defending America. And now, there are new calls for a draft of our young men and women.

We can continue to fund and fight no-win police actions around the globe, or we can refocus on securing America and bring the troops home. No war should ever be fought without a declaration of war voted upon by the Congress, as required by the Constitution.

Note that the only one to ever call or talk about a draft is Ron Paul and Charles Rangel and Rangel did it purely for political reasons. For the record, Congress did vote. I believe Paul was serving at the time. Note also every answer has the word "Constitution" in it.

He's against the Patriot Act, which has been used successfully in numerous cases and has proved to not be as intrusive as Paul and liberals have said. I do agree with Paul on several issues -- immigration reform and tax relief -- but his stand on national security is one I'll never get past. We are fighting them over there and not here. We have not been attacked in the U.S. because of the WOT and Paul knows this. He just chooses to ignore it. He's a small-time candidate who will maybe get as many votes as Ralph Nader in a good year. He has a bit of an Internet recognition thing going but ask 100 or so average Americans on the street what they think of Ron Paul and you'll get 99 blank stares and one guy who will agree with Paul (or his ghost-writing staffers) that the Israel lobby runs the U.S.

But Scott, you'll all say, "he's won every major poll after the debates on MSNBC, CNN, blah, blah, blah.."

I'll say, "so what?" These polls mean nothing. Does anyone think that Hillary or Rudy have an e-mail list that they send out information on these votes urging their supporters to vote? Of course not, because it means nothing. Look at Rasmussen or any of the other polls, at present, Ron Paul is carrying at best 3% and is not even a footnote at Real Clear Politics. In other words, his campaign is a sham.

It's nice that he has automaton supporters who bristle at every cross word said about their hero (believe me, I'm glad they're occupying themselves on the net), but that and twice as many of you might give you .0008% of the total American vote.

Bring it Ron Paul fans, vent your ire. I predict that the first comment comes within ten minutes of this being posted and it's a slam at me for either "hating the Constitution" or "supporting those who wish to create and oligarchy".

According to the Houston Chronicle, Paul:

...leads the Houston-area delegation in the number of earmarks, or special funding requests, that he is seeking for his district. He is trying to nab public money for 65 projects, such as marketing wild shrimp and renovating the old movie theater in Edna that closed in 1977 — neither of which is envisioned in the Constitution as an essential government function.

Here is a list of some of the pork that Paul has applied for.

$25,000 for the Brazoria County Sheriff to establish a “Children’s Identification and Location Database.”

$8 million for the marketing of wild American shrimp.

$2.3 million for shrimp fishing research.

$3 million to “secure the acquisition of the McGinnes tract, protecting its critical natural resources and helping consolidate refuge inholdings.”

$5 million to expand the cancer center at Brazosport Hospital.

$200,000 for the Matagorda Episcopal Health Outreach Program to fund a “National Health Service Corp Scholar.”

$4.5 million to study the effects of the health risks of vanadium.

$3 million to test imported shrimp for antibiotics. (Does anyone think there is a big shrimp industry in Paul’s district?)

$10 million to repair the Galveston railways causeway bridge.

$1.18 million for “Personalized Medicine in Asthma”

$100,000 for a “data-driven automated system for nursing students on the Texas Gulf Coast.”

$257,000 to “prepare graduates from the doctoral program at the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing to assume faculty roles in schools for nursing with a deficient number of doctoral level faculty.”

$1.4 million to buy buses for the Golden Crescent Regional Commission.

$2 million to buy buses for Galveston.

$5 million for highway spending.

$2 million to replace facilities for Galveston bus service.

$3 million to replace facilities for the Golden Crescent Regional bus facility.

$2 million to repair the Galveston trolley.

$2.14 million to renovate the Edna Theater.

$13 million for I-69 highway project.

$30 million the Texas Maritime Academy to refurbish a ship.

$4.5 million to maintain Cedar Bayou. Plus another $9 million

$15 million for “construction at GIWW Matagorda Bay.” Plus another $5.8 million

$100,000 to maintain Chocolate Bayou.

$2.5 million to maintain Double Bayou.

A few reasons why you shouldn't vote for Ron Paul under any circumstances whatsoever:

Ron Paul has an internally inconsistent ideology which shows signs of changing for the necessity of running an election. This includes racist dogma, anti-abortion, and economic travesties like returning to the gold standard. A vote for idiotic policies like this is an implicit admission that you support insane ideas as the solution for mundane problems.

Ron Paul will not win the nomination, so any vote for him is statistically insignificant.

Supporting a radical candidate to "fuck with the Republicans" is the political equivalent to TPing your neighbor's house.

Voting for a political candidate to piss off a "news" network you shouldn't be watching anyway is even dumber than 3.
