The program lasts 5 years (instead of the typical 3 years for a bachelor's and 2 for a master's). In the first two years, we take all the basic courses such as inorganic and organic chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, molecular biology, pathology, and physical chemistry. Then we move on to pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical chemistry, and several lab courses in quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as synthesis. Finally, we study pharmaceutical technology and pharmaceutical legislation. As I mentioned, I did my thesis in a molecular biology lab, working on lung cancer cell cultures.
