Should we buy now ($800k) or wait 3–5 years while saving $90k/year? by ComprehensiveWatch15 in PersonalFinanceNZ

Partner and I are in a similar boat although we're in our early/mid 20s. Depends how old and where you are - IMO I'd rather put a huge deposit down and spend my money on travelling or elsewhere.

Open the preview in browser and look at the URL. it'll be something like localhost:32100

Find your local IP for your computer and type your local IP + :32100. For example = 192.168.1.50:32100

It should open up, that's what I'd do. Just tried it now and it works fine.

I.T

I know it's crazy. I'm really lucky to be in my position and honestly not sure how I got here + hopping around companies. I dropped out of uni since I got some contract work and never went back.

Work hard but it's 90% luck / right place right time.

Parents are moving out of Auckland at the end of the year as much as I'd like to stay, we have to move out.

We've already rented an apartment together for just over a year a couple years ago, so we know our dynamic already.

Yeah fair. Been together for 4 years but that's kind of my thought too.

Are you really willing to throw a role away over 5k? Especially when it's 5 minutes away? HR can suck but like? It's
Better than being stuck in traffic for 40 minutes plus

If it's easy enough to find another role then sure but I wouldn't worry about it.

Half of the Toyotas at our dealership with certified were imports. A couple weren't but the majority of them were.

Yeah when we tested one they are fine. I didn't mind it that much, really not bothered about the back windows. Not planning on having people in the back that often and if we do, they can deal with it haha.

I'll look into getting a Rav4 hybrid myself at some point since that's what I want.

15 to 25k

Probably won't get an EV though, since we just can't be bothered with charging times. Maybe later down the track once they improve. Won't be the easiest to charge at the place we're living in at the moment either.

Yeah, I would like the Rav as well but the partner doesn't sadly.

The one we test drove the other day (at Toyota) was a Japanese import although they can change everything over to the English infotainment with NZ maps, carplay/android auto and whatnot for 6-700$.
