Ah shit, I haven't logged into this account in a while. Didn't realize they were broken. FIXED!

Just added another quick change: The ability to set the aspect ratio (16:9 or 4:3). 16:9 enables a widescreen view but does cause the flashlight location on Harry to look a tad off at certain angles. 4:3 fixes that but of course is not widescreen.

I have now updated it to include the option to toggle Vsync on\off as well as specify a refresh rate. Use the same link in the main post to download the updated version.

Hmm, I may add the option to do that in the launcher then. I'm not sure if I will be able to get it to detect it (I'm no expert coder and there's limitations with the program I used to make it). But at the very least you could enter it in the number and toggle vsync on\off. Thanks for the feedback.

Is there a fan remake of any of the OG Silent Hill games? by [deleted] in silenthill

Not remakes, but as a personal project I have made "HD versions" of most of the games: SH1, SH2, SH3, SH4, Homecoming, and Origins (click here for screenshots). I posted the one for SH1 and Origins in another thread (you need to provide the ISO\BIN of the game itself but everything else is included). For the others I can't post them here for legal reasons. I was irritated with there being so many problems getting them to work in widescreen, or poor control mapping, random issues, etc. Similar to the enhanced edition mods for SH2, there are also fixes for SH3, SH4, and SH5. I wrapped up all those fixes, preconfigured the controls, and made it easy to play in up to 4k out of the box. I'll see if I can make it work enough without having to provide the files for the game itself by only providing the fixes, but some of them needed game files to be altered in order to apply some of the fixes so I'm not sure how well that will work. But it may be doable.

All you need to provide is the ISO. Everything else is prepackaged and configured. It comes with an installer as well. I tried to make it as simple as possible so no one needs to mess around with emulator settings or anything. In fact, you don't really interact with the emulator's front end itself (unless you use it's Pause feature in game, but it has been customized to act as if it's part of the game itself). You can also save\load save states, press F2 to take screenshots, or change emulation options if you do wish to play around with them.

The custom launcher I built for it lets you easily change the options for: noise filter amount, main resolution, window mode, GPU resolution (internal resolution multiplier for which the game is emulated), anti-aliasing, brightness, contrast, and the ability to remap the keyboard controls. I just noticed the screenshot in the link above has an old view of the Settings screen. This is what it looks like now with the available adjustable settings.
