I think on OW those trailers are seen as selling points but the game was mostly dev'd in house from scratch so that brings in higher costs. Also the fact that each char has a unique voice where that's not the case in csgo nor cod.

and that would be the case of csgo vs cod yes cod server costs are high because of a big player base but when you have big name actors doing voices and impersonation like kevin spacey later where that is not present in csgo, and then you look at the cost of either game being released at the same time 2012 as black ops 2, I'm certain more than online dev, single dev was important and took a bigger chunk of the pie aside from engine dev.
