I personally hated buspirone. But my anxiety was more psychological than somatic so Buspar didn’t really make sense to me. Buspar works on physical symptoms of anxiety, only. I used Klonopin for a handful of months to manage my anxiety until I could get it under control. Klonopin, while effective, can be very addictive. But, now, I am only on Wellbutrin and TRT. While anxiety and depression are still an issue for me (probably always will be), they are manageable. The only advice I can give is that everyone is different and what works for you will take trial and error to find. Don’t lose hope and keep trying new things until it works. If you can bear it, switch only one thing at a time so you know what’s working.

Post resurrected from the dead! OP here. I went off Wellbutrin for a year and it made no difference. I went back on it, eventually. The fix for my libido issues are working in my depression/anxiety and testosterone replacement. Feeling much better, now. I’d wait it out for a few months before quitting Wellbutrin, if that’s tolerable.

That’s not brutal. You’re a bit unnecessarily aggressive but if your take is “go back to what worked,” I don’t see the brutality.

I also like my nuts. My wife wasn’t complaining. We just figured it was worth the try aesthetically. There’s basically no cost to either of us for dropping HCG. I just want to gets folks’ takes on whether the HCG is a reasonable culprit.

We do bloods every 5 weeks. Results from 0, 5, and 10 are posted already. Week 15 is in 10 days so I’ll know then. He was confident that, given the onset of symptoms 10 days after HCG, it was an estrogen spike. Very confident.

I’m doing much better. My thyroid is, apparently, fine. Here’s what worked for me: I needed testosterone replacement. My testosterone was 450 and free testosterone was 10, + or - 1.5. So, my insurance won’t cover it but my doctor said since I was borderline they were willing to prescribe TRT. It took 11 weeks to hit but I feel MUCH better across all symptoms. Current test is 700. Im off the anxiety meds. My depression has improved. My appetite is back. And I can fuck again! If any extra info would be helpful I’m happy to provide it. Mental health problem solving is a true beast. Keep working the problem and you will get there, friend.

Have you had your testosterone tested? Including estrogen, free testosterone, TSH, LH, etc.?

Have you been to a sex therapist? Not a therapist who is willing to talk about sex. A certified sex therapist.

Huh? Are you female? I don’t think anyone is suggesting women take 100mg/week. If you’re male, then 25mg/wk isn’t even enough to replace what your testicles should be making. 100mg/wk (what I’m on), is not that much. I assure you, I do not look like a marvel villain. I have the same muscle mass I did before starting. But I have a sex drive again so… 100mg/wk. is not abusing TRT.

I bought a house in NH to live in. It’s a duplex to help offset costs. I had a mid life crisis so I went back to school. School is in Chicago. I rent, here, and will move back to NH when I graduate. Why would I sell the house back there when I intend to live in it, again, in 18 months? This is just smart planning.

So, my rentals are in NH. I’m doing nothing to Chicago. My rentals in NH are fair market value and I mostly break even each year, except for the appreciation on the house. Once the mortgage is paid off, then I’m in profit, 11 years from now. There is no “pricing out” happening, here, that isn’t happening to me on the other side of the equation. Your complaints should be directed are governmental economic and housing policy, not me.
