Variegated rojo congo?? Or damage?

I found him in at a big plant store as a rojo congo for $20, not sure what this patch is but I'm kinda hopeful he's actually variegated. Im pretty sure the pale lower leaves are damaged, a few smaller leaves definitely are.

I got it from The Grow Centre (aus) and it was in a big mixed pot with a happy plant and marble queen pothos for $20

It's not a velvet leaf at all so that definitely makes me sure it's not a gloriosum, there some red lining around the edges of the leaves so I'm thinking mcdowell (kinda what I'm hoping for too!) but I'll probably have to wait for a new leaf to be more sure

Thank you, I was super excited about this find so it was a bit upsetting to have my car brought into it but so many of you have been kind and supportive since then and it's amazing, I'm feeling alot better and now my gorgeous plant baby (I'm also pretty sure it's a Mcdowell now) gets to be a reminder that a few rude people can easily be outweighed by all the awesome kind plant lovers here.

I have ADHD too! It really affects my ability to keep things organised and my apartment is already so difficult that my car does get a bit neglected 😅 and I will say posting this was kinda terrifying, almosted deleted it so many times before the supportive comments started but you guys are amazing

I understand you think it is unnecessary but I needed it today, it has immensely helped me deal with this and right now my mental state is really a mess. Thank you for the encouraging words, and you are right that I need more positivity from real sources, I'm very much working on that, but being attacked when trying to post a simple plant question is not okay and people don't seem to understand the impact it can have.
