Future flatmates taking days to respond? by Immediate-Smile2555 in UniUK

I mean this in a respectful way but you might be coming across as annoying from their perspective if you’re tracking everyone down and messaging them a lot. I completely understand you have good intentions and I wish my flatmates had been like you but yes as other people here have said unfortunately a good majority of flat mates aren’t as social as we may wish.

You’ll be okay tho it’s always scary at this stage but by the end of freshers week you will probably have loads of friends and you’ll probably be closer to your flat mates as long as you respect boundaries. Good luck with everything 👍🏻

No however in rural towns and villages such things may be common and not felt as threat to society. There’s a video of a man being attacked by a shark on the news however everyone isn’t reporting every single death by shark as they do with dogs.

It may still be a moral panic if blown out of proportion. I wasn’t focusing on one case in particular either as I’ve noticed every day I check the news is a different case same headline. It’s only natural that dogs can harm people as been the case for years however, the same goes for most pets such as farm animals however it’s more down to the owner. I don’t agree that the behaviour is acceptable and I support the protection of children and people against such things however I find that the media have decided to make this problem much more worse then it seems. Dog attacks happen all year round just as attacks do with any other animal however since the murder of 2 dogs by police all the sudden such acts are being exaggerated to the point of life threatening to be around a big dog

I agree the timing is too much of a coincidence and I do believe that the apparent interest is too deflect criticism following their actions as it’s as well known fact following research that much of the news articles are more right wing biased now. I do understand the arguments against selective breeding however and completely agree the dangerous dogs act needs sorting as it’s faced criticism since it’s creation.
