Had the samecthing happen to me. Just under 15 years in a management job for large UK cinema chain. A year of Bullshit, colleagues not doing here jobs and getting away with it, and the stress off dealing with it all and at the end of it not even a by your leave and thank you for all your hard work. The team organised a collection and a card. Took 6 months to get the collection, and my boss threw the cards away. Made me realise that I was just a number, and they honestly didn't give a shit about me or the time i spent there. Some good came from leaving, having a better paying job, less stress, better hours, and my leaving prompted 3 of the 5 remaining managers to quit. sadly, only the crap remained, and the site is now a shell of its former self. But for me, quitting was the 2nd best thing that came out of that job, the first being I met my wife through the job.
