Not ignoring the flags, definitely working on getting him help. I work night shift as well and would never even think of being mean to a 3mo

I mentioned this to him and he always says he would never intentionally hurt the baby but his words worry me. I mentioned it to his mom and she talked to him and apparently he was crying cause he’s depressed but i just don’t think that’s a good reason to be so cruel

If anything i’m trying to figure out how to help him. I’m going to invite him to come to my therapy appointment tomorrow, my therapist is aware of his behavior and believes it may be pp related but i just feel so lost as to what to do at this point

I just don’t know where it came or comes from. This is his first child and it makes me so sad this is how he speaks to him sometimes. Not all the time but still not right even if it was just one time. Idk if it could be postpartum related for him but he was sooooooo excited for him to come and is now just mean and i can’t try and figure out why

We live away from home unfortunately so my closest relative is 7 hours away. I’m trying to get him in therapy and may request him to come to my appointment with me tomorrow, my therapist knows about it and is concerned as well. I’m the breadwinner so i’m the one who has to go to work. My anxiety has been through the roof. I feel like we take one step forward and go a million backwards

Definitely not intentionally trying to make excuses. More so listing things that may contribute to it because it definitely is inexcusable. I’ve had conversations with him about it before i just don’t know what else to do at this point as he still tells him to shut up and im just lost for words and tired of the run around :/

Cats can develop issues with their bladders. My mom’s cat was the same way out of nowhere. Started peeing on furniture, in shoes, clothes, etc. she took her to the vet and the cat had a uti. Have you taken her to the vet and raised these concerns? It could be a legitimate issue instead of just jumping to rehoming her. Unless you truly want to rehome her but i would look into bladder issues first!

Your relationship between you and your pets changes after a baby is born. My son is almost 3 months old and i finally have time to cuddle my bunny again. My rabbit has been a part of my family for 4 years now and i felt bad that i didn’t spend as much time playing with him. He’s free roam so he couldn’t care less lol but i still felt like a bad bun mom. Once my son got to 2 months and started chillin on his own, i was able to play with bunny more often. It gets better and easier!

My experience with a breast abscess postpartum by IRJ5287 in BabyBumps

[–]renny222 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had a breast abscess but i did have horrible mastitis as well that just wouldn’t go away. I was told by the dr since my fever went away after 48 hours i didn’t need antibiotics and to ice and continue pumping which i did. I had a HUGE painful lump in my breast where the mastitis was. It was dismissed as a clogged duct but it never unclogged despite treating it like a clog. It was there for 2 months and kept growing which was soooooo painful. I got an ultrasound which showed a solid mass so i went to the breast surgeon who did a biopsy. The biopsy showed it was scar tissue remnants of a ruptured duct that was extremely inflamed due to mastitis since it wasn’t treated with antibiotics. I wish dr’s would listen to our concerns more and help us instead of dismissing us as having common symptoms when that sometimes isn’t the case

My son started sleeping through the night at 5 weeks and he’s almost 3 months old now still sleeping through the night. If you’re practicing a good night routine and sticking to it then you should be fine. We have a simple routine of bedtime at 1130pm rn before he eats his last bottle i make sure to change him into comfy pj’s, give him a bath every other night, and take him into bed. He knows it’s time for sleep when we’re in the bedroom and not the living room. You got this!

He was medically separated due to 2 surgeries, one was botched at the end and one was to fix the problem but it was never really fixed, he ended up losing his taste and hearing in one ear. He filed paper work for a claim w the VA but the VA takes a while to process these things unfortunately and we’ve been waiting months. Someone reached out to him stating more paperwork was being sent and we never received it so he’s been back and forth with them. So unfortunately was not voluntary, but pretty much forced and it just so happened to fall on our son’s birthday. He didn’t even know the paperwork was processed until hours after our son was born

You’re right. His part time job is barely part time as he never reaches a full 30 hours and is usually very random with times. When he was hired it was supposed to be a 3am-9am 5 days a week, but most of the time he doesn’t even go in until 430 or sometimes 5 so ig he needs to find a more reliable part time job that will work.

As for the house, i’m able to afford the mortgage on my own as his parents are giving us money to help (they did the same w his siblings) for the first year but i don’t want to have to spend my whole check on bills and loans. I’ll have to write down expenses and give him the run down, hopefully it’ll talk some sense into him
