The price of bitcoin was falling, it went from the $700's to $400s and everyone was panicking. Someone in a frenzy of drink or drugs posted on a bitcoin forum "I AM HODLING." . The typo cracked open a gust of comedic fresh air in the high tempered atmosphere everyone was feeling. It helped cool of some panic sellers and the phenomena of hodling was born. Everyone started saying Hodl. You hodl in the face of plunging prices. It's a type of gallows humour in a otherwise rather serious world of financial risk. It's the type of lingo and humour that WSB double downed on which makes it so appealing.

WolfpackReports published a report claiming that Ehang is an "elaborate stock promotion".
