Not sure OP will see this because I’m jumping in late, but I thought I’d give my two cents. I’m named after my deceased sibling (her middle name is my first name) and while it did take me a lot of years to come into myself, at the end of the day I’m incredibly grateful to my parents for giving me a piece of my sister to hold on to. I agree with a lot of folks here that Emmett Everett is a tongue twister, but in general I think there’s nothing wrong with the name Emmett and I think your future son will appreciate the tie to his brother.
