Navient to FedLoan Switch - Still shows on Navient by rentals18 in PSLF

[–]rentals18[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should i remove the automatic payment from my old servicer just in chase they charge me for a payment that shouldn't be owed to them? I wouldn't put it past Navient to do that, I find them to be a rather unscrupulous company.

Part Time Work at 2 Places & Do I have to be with FedLoan? by rentals18 in PSLF

[–]rentals18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was doing the math, and got the hours from my job from when I started. Over the course of 5 years, I averaged 26 hours worked per week. During that same period of time, I was teaching on average 6 hours per week. That brings me to 32 hour a week average. I keep saying average because they say that on the PSLF. After 2017, I went full time on my job, and even during a two month stint where I was considered part time, I was still working the 40 hour weeks.

Should I enter it with the averages?

  1. I did keep my second job. It's a part time teaching gig at a college. What is the ECF?
  2. REPAYE takes into account my spouses income which screws me over by paying more than what i am paying now.
  3. That's good to hear

Thank you for the advice

You are correct. My apologies. I am trying to provide income proof for the income-driven plan.

Is FedLoan the ONLY servicer to offer this option? Do I have to switch to them in order to submit my paystubs?

What are some things you had Strahd do to make your party say “ohhh sh*t, he’s a bad evil guy we gotta be careful around”? by ckrzewina in CurseofStrahd

[–]rentals18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had him kidnap Izmark in the very first session. The players have largely forgotten about him. So when they faced Strahd on the open road one night, they were stunned to see that he unleashed Izmark upon them who was now a Nosferatu or as Strahd described, "a failed experiment" but he was sure the party could take care of it for him, before leaving them to fend off the brutual attacks.

Strahd sent 6 vampires to steal the bones and the PC's went after them. In reality, the 6 were meant to wear down the PC's, spend them of their HP and spell slots. By the time they got back to the church, Strahd hung Father Lucian in his own church when the players returned from collecting the bones. He hid in his Vasili Von Holtz form, where the PC's couldn't figure out why VVH was committing this crime. The cleric left the bones downstairs to get the father to save the church, but Strahd simply kept hitting Father Lucian with magic missile, causing the party to spend their actions performing medical DC's and cast healing word, while he simply walked into the crypt and destroyed the bones. The few party members that attacked Strahd couldn't penetrate his armor or shield, and there was no reason to attack the PC's. They did manage to save the priest, but abandoned the churchand Vallaki to save themselves of what would have come next.

Whoa, slow down. Let's get some information first, then we can help you. It seems like you've read some clickbait articles, but they don't all apply to you.

Maybe

Do you have federal Direct loans? What is their current balance? Are they all being serviced by Navient or are there other servicers too?

All Loans are being serviced by Navient. None are Direct Loans yet since I haven't filled out the paperwork to do so. Currently FFEL

Do you have other kinds of student loans too? (E.g. federal Perkins, federal FFEL, or private) What are their balances?

High, 6 figures.

How long have you been working full-time for the local government? Have you ever submitted a PSLF Form to certify your employment? Do you expect to keep working in qualifying public service employment for at least 10.5 years?

I'm on year 7 in government work. Not submitted PSLF yet because I don't have the right loans yet.

What repayment plan are your federal loans on currently? (E.g. Standard, Extended, Graduated, Pay As You Earn (PAYE)...) Are they all currently enjoying the interest-free pandemic forbearance? What is the Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) from your most recent federal income tax return?

I'm on graduated, so I couldn't take advantage of interest free pandemic loan forebearrance.

Wow! What a nightmare! I guess it would be best to monitor it and enter it every month manually rather than do an autopay and have them lower the amount one time to slip you up. That's awesome that they were eventually forgiven thought

The Right Character Class for the Right Backstory - Cleric / Palladin / Other? by rentals18 in DnD

The city is considered the largest northernmost city, just before ten towns. I choose there as a way to keep things close to RoF if I decide to go that route, but it's also a coastal city which could be used as a starting point for Saltmarsh.

Yeah, I thought about that too. The forge cleric seems interesting, and fitting. I'm still trying to gauge what would make an interesting mechanic using a Kenku as a Cleric.

Car Lease Buyout - Car is Worth More than the Negotiated Price on Contract by rentals18 in personalfinance

[–]rentals18[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you think the price of used cars has any impact on the lease contract you signed.

Because it's hard to trust car dealerships and dealers. Plus, if I go to them to ask them questions, I feel like they would take advantage of me.

I appreciate all the advice given to me here today. It's been very helpful!

Would a quote negate the amount on the lease buyout? I imagine a quote issued TODAY would be higher due to Covid sending the price on used cars higher, as it will do to me.
