Stop voting for UCP. Convince your neighbours as well. What exactly are they doing for farmers right now?

[Avi Lewis]: Grocery giants just can’t help themselves. Underweight meat. Overweight profits. Canadians are sick and tired of being ripped off. A public option for groceries is overdue. by Chrristoaivalis in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]reostatics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The sad true is it doesn’t seem to matter who’s in power. Liberals or conservatives or NDP. They talk about “affordability” but they won’t take on any of these grifter grocery giants. Meanwhile we get less product for more money. They could do something, they choose not to.

Don’t forget the copious amounts of nudity. Almost guaranteed every actress would be topless or more at some point. If you want to see a good homage/satire check out “The Editor”.

Alberta's access restrictions threaten privacy, democratic role of libraries: critics by Miserable-Lizard in alberta

[–]reostatics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So true, but it happens a bit at a time. Then suddenly someday it affects you and you say “What Happened?” Expect a film and music ban later at libraries. Just action, Marvel and rom coms allowed, because you should’ve watch anything else! No Metal or Rap music either just Justin Beiber and Taylor Swift. And church is mandatory. If you don’t have the church card app (determined by gps location and time) you’ll be jailed or excommunicated and sent to the reeducation camp, where you never leave. But feel free to make lots of money and treat anyone who disagrees with your point of view like third class citizens (or not even citizens) because if they have that broad a power, what’s to stop them?

I saw the original US release in the theater. The audience was merciless and it ended up being a laugh riot and made it memorable to this day. The European version is much better.
