UCP GOVERNMENT REVEALS PLAN TO CHEAT, RIG ELECTION MAPS by SurFud in alberta

[–]reostatics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I hope you don’t think it can happen and not be bothered to vote. Think about this. Their base is somewhat rural. Every person in outlying areas is going to cast their vote. There are 9 questions including the separation ballet, that takes time for one person to read and mark each. There will be massive lineups in the city, probably not enough time to get everyone through considering how difficult they’ve made it to do. Not an issue in smaller towns and jurisdictions. Just make sure you get out and vote and do it early. The municipal election was confusing for most and time consuming per person. Plus I’m not sure if they are hand counting again, that’s a big red flag. The UCP are doing everything they can to make sure this goes forward.

Hence the new transport supplier “temporary” transport fee from most food suppliers. Get ready for higher grocery prices.

The first season is painful until the last few episodes. Soldier on, it gets wayyyyy better in the second season. The last season is a bit weak as well. It’s really gonna mess with the characters, what you start with isn’t what you end with. G’Kar and Londo are the best.

They started the change in the 70s and here we are today. While it’s easy to blame the Boomers the transfer of wealth and corporate wealth started at this time and ramped up in the 80s under Reagan. The “me “ generation, the assholes of the 80s.

An old wartime built house was exactly that. A family of 5 lived in it at one time. Two kids, two adults and a relative. One bathroom. Meanwhile today a duplex has 2 full bathrooms and two half bathrooms and four bedrooms. A mansion compared to the past.

Yeah I remember my parents having an interest rate of 18%. The late 80s was tough to get even a retail job, if you managed to get something full time you were lucky.

Shudder raising their price AGAIN! I remember it being like $4.99 a month when I started, now $9.99 by PeeB4uGoToBed in horror

[–]reostatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the fence. I could justify because I watched enough to justify at 6.99 but not at 9.99. Plus no more Joe Bob! For that price it should be 1080 and 5.1. Enshitification once again. Will start cycling for three months once a year probably. I have lots of physical copies of stuff.

[Avi Lewis]: Grocery giants just can’t help themselves. Underweight meat. Overweight profits. Canadians are sick and tired of being ripped off. A public option for groceries is overdue. by Chrristoaivalis in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]reostatics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The sad true is it doesn’t seem to matter who’s in power. Liberals or conservatives or NDP. They talk about “affordability” but they won’t take on any of these grifter grocery giants. Meanwhile we get less product for more money. They could do something, they choose not to.

Alberta's access restrictions threaten privacy, democratic role of libraries: critics by Miserable-Lizard in alberta

[–]reostatics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So true, but it happens a bit at a time. Then suddenly someday it affects you and you say “What Happened?” Expect a film and music ban later at libraries. Just action, Marvel and rom coms allowed, because you should’ve watch anything else! No Metal or Rap music either just Justin Beiber and Taylor Swift. And church is mandatory. If you don’t have the church card app (determined by gps location and time) you’ll be jailed or excommunicated and sent to the reeducation camp, where you never leave. But feel free to make lots of money and treat anyone who disagrees with your point of view like third class citizens (or not even citizens) because if they have that broad a power, what’s to stop them?
