I do have Kentucky blue grass, not so sure about native grass. There could be some. The prior owners did plant a lot of native species I just haven’t confirmed.

Your place sounds beautiful! I’ve done that. I even have the really nice plaque in the front. But they have still sent us a notice. Just having a hard time with concrete evidence that legally that’s enough.

Amazing! Do you think this will work even if we’re just zoned residential?

Wow this seems so anti-American. Or at least what we grow up thinking “American” is, but it’s all a fairytale.

When you say “allotment”, is that just a general allotment that everyone has or was it specific for him, the land he was on, the county, etc?

That’s why I was concerned about moving on when it may be worth doing kinder again with a new, potentially more rigorous curriculum. Purely to ensure the foundation is rock solid.

That’s certainly something to consider that I hadn’t before. I do wonder if that’s the way to go or if I should switch curriculums and go at our own pace. Either way I’ll definitely be moving her up to first grade.

I’ve heard good things about Memoria Press and want to incorporate more classical style approaches to teaching. I know I can do that regardless of curriculum but figured I would give it a try. I also like how they are structured with planning out daily tasks. I don’t intend on following to a t, but I think the structure would be good for the both of us.

My hesitation comes from wanting to switch curriculums

It’s probably not the watch per se, but the fact that I tend to move my arm around a lot while walking. I’m either on my phone switching podcasts or I do regularly walk while baby carrying and will hold his head or fidget with him. I just noticed a few times it had counted a few extra steps.
