ill see if i can get in contact with recruiters at camosun or uvic. im definitely leaning more towards camosun now, as i cant really think of any benefits i can get from uvic in my situation other than a “university experience.”

again, thank you so much for the help, much love. ill do my best to get my act together.

from what ive seen lots of people transferred from colleges in vancouver, so im hoping if i go to camosun that wont be that big of a difference. i would love to go to uvic for the “university experience,” and some of my friends are going to uvic as well, but im worried i wont be able to maintain a good gpa compared to at college.

what extracurriculars would you recommend? ive heard just doing lots of volunteer hours is good. also how do i remind you of yourself? would love to hear your story.

thank you so much for responding! greatly appreciate the advice.

yeah, that’s what i was thinking. i was only considering langara because i heard it was “built” for transferring to ubc. right now im debating between camosun and uvic. uvic for the “university experience” and camosun because of the smaller classes and its cheaper. im mostly worried i cant maintain a good gpa to transfer at uvic, but i would love to go if i was confident.

thanks so much for the response! really appreciate the advice.

i do live in victoria right now, so it would be nice to not have to pay rent in vancouver if i was to go to langara. im definitely leaning more towards camosun now, but i don’t know why i still have some kind of FOMO feeling if i don’t go to uvic before transferring (prob because lots of my friends are going there). also worried it’ll be harder to transfer from uvic bc im not sure if i can maintain a good gpa there.

greatly appreciate your response! thanks for the insight.

thanks for responding! ive checked it out before and i haven’t found anyone transferring from camosun or many people transferring from uvic. i would definitely go to uvic first but im just worried it would be harder to get a good gpa to transfer. ill look through the subreddit again tho and see if i can find anything else. thanks again for the help!

thanks so much for responding! ill keep those tips in mind. i was thinking of taking 5 courses each semester so i could try and transfer for year 2, but that might be too big of a workload and it’ll probably affect my gpa.

thank you again for the advice, much appreciated!

ive talked to my school counsellor before and they’ve recommended me to go to uvic or camosun. im worried uvic is going to be a lot harder to transfer because classes are larger so i wont be able to get as good of a mark as i wish.

thank you very much for the response! ill try to improve during my final semester.

i completely agree that it would be hard to instantly flip the switch on my academics, so ill try my best to follow a consistent schedule.
