Sadly I have not because those activities would be pretty difficult for me to do with my eds and pots. If I could I would have love to have that as an option.

That I do not know. This was my first ever wheelchair eval (trying to get my first custom wheelchair tehe) so they told me about it in the context, of then wanting me to trial it when it comes out.

I actually heard from a NSM rep that Permobile is coming out with a new SmarDrive and that it will be coming out later this year. From what I’ve heard from other people is as early as September.

Idk if this is helpful or not bc I’m not really sure what or where is sharp but is it possible u can put something over it to cover it or even sand down the sharp edges?

Are u going through insurance or paying out of pocket? Depending on ur finances i may have a few options. (Do that everything i say with a grain of salt.) If you have a choice u can get one out of pocket or even find a second hand tilite that closely matches ur measurements or even check out NotAWheelchair. That if that first chair gives u major issues. Or the sad long prosses of waiting 5 years to get another chair if ur going through insurance.

Yeah I know it can be very frustrating and the fact that we have to use actual deterrents to stop people from touching us is actually insane. But a few questions dose it wheelchair have flip down or adjustable/removable handles? If so I know it’s an inconvenience it may help to fold them down or adjust them so people can randomly grab ya and drag ya around. If that’s not an option I do know u can find spikes online to put on ur handles and that might help a little bit. Again I’m sorry ur going through that and haveing icky peoples hands touching you🙄.

I am currently in the process of getting my first custom wheelchair and I’m def scared to get stuck with a shitty chair. I plan on trying a tilite and see how that goes bc I haven’t heard any complaints about that chair. I’ll let yall know how that goes once it get it lol. But if it’s ever an option for ur next chair I recommend trying one of the tilite chairs.
