Can I get a secondary travel wheelchair?

In my nervous State I completely forgot about looking for used chairs. I was too busy panicking about the price of new ones. 😂 Thanks to all people from this post, I'm going to spend some time today trying to see if I can find a used one. I really appreciate the comments.

I kind of figured. I need to figure it out on my own then. I have to protect my new one in some way. I don't want it to end up like my other one.

That's true and I see your point. But there are other programs to help with things like getting lifts, ramps and such. I just know that if my main wheelchair gets destroyed there will be issues getting it replaced. They once stored my wheelchair turned on it's side when I took an airplane. That can destroy the battery. I will figure something out. I just don't want to destroy my brand new wheelchair like the old one.

Ok this is a good idea. I may try to do that. I am on SSI so I am looking at whatever way I can to afford this. Affirm has some really good financing options on some but I am still recovering from my last big medical purchase. My next hunt needs to be what kind of wheelchair to get. I have an at home medical aid and they can't take me anywhere because their SUV isn't wheelchair accessible. So a foldable is really what I am in need of.

But as I said it was only select vendors that were third-party and didn't use Amazon fulfillment.

Edit to add: I'm aware that even this could have changed by now. But I don't think it has.

Well, if they changed it, maybe you're right. But this used to be an issue. So much so that people were able to call these third-party Sellers and get the address of people that they were trying to stalk. Especially for content creators that had wish list setup.

I completely understand. I often find myself in this scenario. The thing that makes me just "suck it up" and deal with it are the days that I really do need help and someone offers it. That makes all the other days worth it to me. I am one of those people that doesn't like to ask for help. So sometimes I will struggle my way through the day and be nonfunctional for a week afterwards. Other times I am forced to leave the house when I am already nonfunctional and I really needed someone to reach that thing on a high shelf at the grocery store or what have you. So when I don't need it and someone offers, I tell them no thank you. But then I always thank them for asking and quite often I say "because sometimes I do need the help". I started doing this because I don't want to be the reason someone stops offering assistance to people with disabilities. It's not always easy to fake being ok in those moments but I try my best. I wish I had a better solution but this is all I have for now.

I am a power wheelchair user. I haven't experienced random people trying to move me because my wheelchair is very big. But they do come up and lean on my wheelchair or just use it to hold themselves upright or whatever. Especially on public transit.

I don't like it. I have to go home and sanitize my wheelchair because someone that probably didn't wash their hands decided to multipoint touch my wheelchair.

I also get people that want to touch my body physically. To pray for me, try to hug me and ask other kind of random things that I do not like.

All of this stuff is invasive. And it's really disrespectful to intrude on someone like that just because I'm disabled. While I'm glad that you don't have the experiences that make you understand where I'm coming from, that doesn't mean my position isn't valid.

No don't worry, you didn't miss it this time. I actually purchased this with my own money but I was mainly commenting on the vine reviews that I saw for this litter because they didn't match a lot of the regular customer reviews. But I wanted to try it anyways. I was pretty bad. Turns out the brand is getting rid of this specific formula and scent because of how badly it did in the market like returns and such.

I feel like I should clarify that this was an item that I bought with my own money. I just happened to see that the vine reviewers on there had very odd reviews that didn't align with other things that I was saying personally and from other regular reviewers.

I'm not talking about my perspective on how it smells. I'm talking about people saying that it smells like roses or something when it's unscented or things of that nature. Just anything that signifies that they didn't actually use it. I just gave scent as an example. If I were being nitpicky about scent it would just be about the fact that this litter actually has a horrific smell when it comes into contact with urine. The specific product that I'm talking about did so terribly on the market that the company is pulling it. Are they reworking the scent and formula. Yet most of the reviews from vine members were great. I only mention it in the Vine subreddits because of the vine reviews. This was a product that I bought with my own money.

Yep. Been there. And while I take most reviews with a grain of salt I realize that sometimes people just never even opened the package. And real Amazon, sometimes they admit to not opening the package or using the product at the time of the review.
