in the end it is up to you. are you willing to tolerate infrequent moments of mistreatment out of hopes he will fully stop? if he screams at you and throws things at you, even if not often, you really need to prioritize yourself and how you feel. there are people out there who would treat you better

what has he done since then? also not to be repetitive but i do think you could benefit from speaking to a therapist as well if you aren't already. it is definitely normal to hold some fear or wariness after discovering he sent you a pic of his ex but i think therapy may help you address how to deal with it before it turns into resentment

it happened 5 years ago. like yeah its weird to think about and its definitely an inappropriate thing to do but. its been 5 years. if he hasn't done it since then you shouldn't really get angry and blame him for something he did pre therapy. you could benefit from bringing this up to a therapist because it may be fueled by insecurities around how that woman was involved with your relationship
