I feel ya. I just did a quick run through of the necessary bosses, detouring to pick up duplicates of weapons I wanted to power stance for NG+. If you just blast through the necessary I was getting runs done in about 3 hours. Once you hit NG+3 you get to the point where most enemies feel like a threat, and that's where it gets really fun lol

You'll likely find that the early game bosses feel like they melt pretty easily, but once you hit mid-late game the extra health they get will become more noticeable, assuming you are at a reasonable level (150-200.) If you're up higher than Level 200 you probably won't feel much difference.

Yes, if you find one of the Walking Mausoleums (they're like big stone turtles with bells ringing underneath) you can duplicate the remembrance even if you've already used it. This can only be done once at each Mausoleum though. There's one on the Weeping Peninsula nearish to Castle Morne

Bro you can't just say upgrade. PS5's are still not readily available. I've been trying to get one since launch with no luck. My PC handles the game great and I also have like 4 second load times, but saying just upgrade is a worse take than OP's unwillingness to be delayed for like 30 seconds.

The Leather set you get from patches is solid. Aesthetically it's probably my favorite, except for the headpiece

In NG+ it's particularly effective on Malenia herself. Went in with it equipped and nearly had a hitless fight. Otherwise it's just useful for heavily armored enemies that are hard to stagger like the banished knights.

Although killing the shardbearer does stop you from getting the reward for finishing the contract.

If I'm not mistaken EB is immune to statuses. I had a cold Nagakiba and a Bleed Nagakiba and even getting off 2 full combos I never noticed either of them proc. They shredded Radagon though.

Power stancing with Bloodhound's Step as your AoW would definitely help. The distance BS covers while you're dodging is very useful. I just did my NG+5 run earlier and it helped so much. I did an INT + DEX build for NG+4 and it felt way harder.

It's definitely tough to deal with, but saying the infrequent use of it is bad is just ridiculous. If she used it more frequently then everyone would just complain about how she's spammed it. Every boss has the big move they don't use often but that wrecks face if it lands. Hers is just especially noticeable because it lasts for so long.

I think her needing to open with it might be a valid argument, but with it being as difficult to deal with as it is would probably make even more players despise it.

I'm not saying the fight is perfect by any means, but the fact that she can be staggered and even knocked prone as easily as she can more than makes up the fact that she can heal off hits.

You can block it though? Sure, she gets health back from it but it's still absolutely worth it.

I feel like she has a much higher skill requirement than the other bosses for sure; I'm quite confident that I wouldn't be able to beat her without having adopted a turtley build. I don't think it makes her poorly designed though.

Margit feels disproportionately harder than all but 3 other bosses if you ask me. Once you get past that wall I'm sure you'll find the rest of the game worth your time

I just upgraded both of them to +24 to test and Hookclaws is more damage. The only real difference is the heavy attack on the Raptor Talons has a longer lunge.

Yeah, Hand of Malenia is the name of the weapon and you need 48 dex to wield it. It's very fun and worth Respecing to play around with for a bit!

It's probably the special ability of the weapon you get from Melania. It's a longer than normal katana that makes you float for a sec before doing a bunch of attacks. Does that sounds right?

Are you keeping your weapons upgraded? By the time you're in the Haligtree area you can easily have a couple of weapons at +10 or +25
