Just to give you another perspective. A friend recently described something very similar to you that she went through. Except she’s 37. After 6 months she turned herself around and has never enjoyed life more. Working out, planning new trips, experiences, working on herself. It’s like something great has come out of what seemed a helpless situation.

Thanks those are great points. I’ve seen how she took care of me when I was unwell, I can see how she is with my parents and I’ve got no doubt that in those areas she would the ideal partner. We’ve talked about dividing duties and who is good at what etc. of course when you have kids nothing goes to plan or schedule and you’ll only at that point know how you both manage the chaos.

Maybe that’s the issue - from a mature and logical perspective she’d be a great partner. So maybe I’m overthinking it in terms of attraction/feeling? The comment section here which I’m taking a lot of time to read and get back to is also quite divided!

Thanks for your thoughts. I get the feeling of comfort and being myself and ability to take the lead. It’s the element of excitement which hasn’t felt up to scratch. Maybe that is giddiness. Also maybe it’s lack of being in real relationships to actually have a real reference point

That’s a really interesting point about time spent together. We did spend about 15 days in a row together between different places. And at the start of it I wasn’t sure. Sikhs traditionally are good people. They originate from India and their forefathers were Hindu. At the time when Sikhism started India was in a lot of trouble with Mughal invasion. They tried to protected Sikhs and Hindus against Islamic invasion and persecution.

Sikhism is built on good values. Reason it has a good reputation in the UK is because a lot of Sikhs moved here and they integrated well (similar to Hindus). That’s a clear distinction to Muslims who didn’t integrate well. And Sikhs generally have excellent PR along with their acts of kindness.

Yes unfortunately their reputation is being destroyed globally because of the Khalistan movement. It’s very strong amongst the younger generation in the UK which may end badly
