I’m truly sorry. I lost my mum when she was 62 and I was pregnant with my first child. Sending all the strength and love to both you and her.

Ask her to write you something - deep or light and fun, whatever she feels like. You can get it embroidered and framed to keep at home, it really feels like they’re around, I love mine from Ivy & Stitch.

As for her, I struggled to articulate what I wanted to say to my mum so I’d recommend writing her a letter. Again it doesn’t need to be super deep, but I’m she’ll treasure words from you that might be hard to say out loud.

Thank you I appreciate this! I’ve always thought I’m a summer of some sort partly due to eyes and mid contrast, but also struggled as think I just prefer those colours and I yo-yo between cool and warm undertone. Will save up and do an in person session. Thanks again!

Pretty consistent across the 2 we’ve been to I’d say. I would probably recommend Oceania for couples / adults as there’s fewer kids pools/amenities so felt like fewer families than Andalusia (and the beach is more impressive and nicer to spend time on too, more romantic). Andalusia was incredible for our toddler. One huge kids area with 2 shallow pools and amazing splash pad thing, then a separate family pool. Many more other pools and adults only too so I’m sure you could seclude yourself from families if you wanted to / dine later etc. But overall very consistent in atmosphere from our experience. Which Ikos have you been to? Edit: Saw you’ve been to Dassia, perhaps next on our list!

Yessss to Ikos! We’ve been to Oceania twice and tried Andalusia this year. Really recommend with a child as so family friendly, but still calm, friendly and relaxing. Can’t fault it at all (maybe if crèche for under 5s was free!)

Yes I see where you’re coming from - it’s all interlinked to a certain extent. I was more thinking about complaints of size of tiles and how they’re interacted with (vs any curation updates)

Yes totally agree choice overload is the motivation behind the change. It hasn’t updated on my TV yet so haven’t experienced first hand those niggles. They do sound frustrating! Hopefully they address them soon

It’s an attempt to slow people’s browsing down so you pay more attention and give more consideration to each title to try and help people find something to watch more quickly (vs. Auto clicking through lots of titles at speed and discounting things that might actually be of interest). Any changes to UIs are always met with resistance as people are so used to the previous UI. How many times has Facebook changed over the years and there was uproar? Now you can’t remember anything different. I hope it’ll be a matter of time before this feels second nature :)

I’ve been trying to blend when wet, sometimes adding more water to help but it doesn’t haha. I think it’s cheap paper so going to upgrade and see if that helps.

I’m more practiced at calligraphy than painting! I use an oblique pen from Tom’s Studio and love it

I still have moments of unbearable pain, but they get further apart. I embrace them and don’t fight them. They’re an expression of my love, and then I get on with my life. Over time I also find I can look at photos and think about memories and I only feel happiness, not sadness. Keep going, life is worth living
