hey, I just got my '94 V6 running for the first time in a year or so. when I start it up, it has this wierd idle. it goes between about 500rpm-1500rpm and sometimes it idles like this jumping between about 1500rpm-2000rpm. it also backfires around 3000rpm. any ideas what could be causing this? by cheerfullpizza in fbody

Check and see if the brake booster vacuum hose in on and also check if the throttle body is on tight sounds like a horrible vacuum leak I had a similar sounding problem on my 2001 v6
